International AffairsNakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University Welcomes a Korean Volunteer to Teach Korean Language and Promote Korean CultureOn October 8, 2024, the International Affairs Office (IAO) of the Office of the President, in collaboration with the Language Institute, formally welcomed Ms. Oh Joo Yeon, a Korean volunteer from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Thailand. Ms. Oh will support Korean language instruction and cultural promotion at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University (NRRU).Upon her arrival, IAO staff greeted her, provided a tour of the university’s facilities, and arranged accommodation for her stay. She also participated in on-the-job training from October 7 to 11, 2024 to prepare for her role.Ms. Oh officially began her teaching assignment at the Language Institute on October 24, 2024, and will continue until September 12, 2025, as per the agreement between KOICA and the Department of International Cooperation.Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat UniversityOctober-December


International Affairs Newsletter Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University October-December 2024 On October 31, 2024, Assistant Professor Arnut Jaisamrarn, Ph.D., Vice President for University Council, Special and International Affairs, along with staff from the International Affairs Office (IAO), Office of the President, convened a meeting with representatives from the Academic Promotion and Registration Office, faculty executives, and program heads.The meeting aimed to discuss guidelines and procedures for admitting international graduate students and to prepare for an anticipated increase in enrollment. It was held at the Rattanapian Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Building 9, Chalermprakiat Building.On October 31, 2024, Ms. Donlaya Petchdee, Acting Director of the International Affairs Office (IAO), Office of the President, and Ms. Piyachat Dhephasadin Na Ayudhaya, Lecturer in the English Program, Faculty of Education, along with an IAO staff member, conducted interviews to select a student from the Bachelor of Education program to represent Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University (NRRU) in the Erasmus+ student exchange program at the University College of Teacher Education Styria (PHSt), Austria for the 2024/2025 academic year.The selected student will have the opportunity to study in Austria for one semester, from March 1 to June 30, 2025.International Affairs Office Holds Meeting on Guidelines for Accepting International Students International Affairs Office Conducts Interview for Student Exchange Program in Austria under the Erasmus+ Programme


International Affairs NewsletterNakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat UniversityOctober-December 2024Executives from Yuxi Normal University, China, Visit Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University to Discuss Academic CooperationThe International Affairs Office Prepared to Deploy Volunteer Interpreters and Coordinators for International Sports CompetitionsOn November 5, 2024, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University (NRRU), led by Associate Professor Adisorn Naowanondha, Ph.D., President of NRRU, and Assistant Professor Arnut Jaisamrarn, Ph.D., Vice President for University Council, Special and International Affairs, along with executives and faculty members from the Communicative Thai for Foreigners Program, the Chinese Language Program, and the Business Administration Program, warmly welcomed a five-member delegation from Yuxi Normal University (YXNU), People’s Republic of China, led by Mr. Zhang Yahui, Vice President of YXNU.The visit focused on curriculum development and academic collaboration, aiming to enhance efficiency and strengthen the longstanding partnership between the two universities. Additionally, the delegation had the opportunity to meet YXNU students currently studying at NRRU.On November 7, 2024, the International Affairs Office (IAO), Office of the President, held discussions with Captain Chakrawut Srisuwan, a representative of the Badminton Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, to coordinate the selection of student volunteers who served as interpreters and coordinators for the TOYOTA International Series 2024 badminton competition.Additionally, on November 13, 2024, the IAO conducted interviews to select volunteer interpreters, translators, and coordinators for the 2024 World Abilitysports Youth Games, which took place from December 1–7, 2024, at the His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary Sports Complex, Nakhon Ratchasima. The selection process also included volunteers for the 2024 TOYOTA Thailand International Series, which was held from December 3–8, 2024, at Terminal 21 Korat, Nakhon Ratchasima.


International Affairs NewsletterNakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat UniversityNakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University Aims to Develop Academic Standards to International Levels, Signs MoU to Accept Chinese Graduate StudentsOn November 25, 2024, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University (NRRU), led by Associate Professor Adisorn Naowanondha, Ph.D., President of NRRU, Assistant Professor Arnut Jaisamrarn, Ph.D., Vice President for University Council, Special and International Affairs, Assistant Professor Saweeya Prathanadi Chatviwattanakarn, Ph.D., Vice President for Human Resources and General Affairs, and Associate Professor Tanida Phatisena, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, along with executives, faculty members, and staff of the International Affairs Office, welcomed a delegation from Fulangge (Beijing) Education Consulting Co., Ltd., People’s Republic of China. The delegation, consisting of six members, visited NRRU to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the acceptance of Chinese graduate students.The MoU aims to establish collaboration for recruiting Chinese students to study at NRRU in two graduate programs: 1. Doctor of Education in Educational Administration 2. Master of Public HealthThis partnership, effective from the 2025 academic year, focuses on producing graduates who will become responsible global citizens.October-December 2024


International Affairs NewsletterNakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat UniversityInternational Affairs Office Hosts Final Meeting for Indonesian Exchange Students before DepartureOn December 3, 2024, the International Affairs Office (IAO), Office of the President, hosts a final meeting for five exchange students from Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS), Republic of Indonesia, with Assistant Professor Arnut Jaisamrarn, Ph.D., Vice President for University Council, Special and International Affairs. The meeting allows the students to express their gratitude and receive advice before their departure.The exchange students from UPGRIS participate in academic and extracurricular activities at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University from August 1 to November 30, 2024, as part of the International Credit Transfer Program (ICTP 2024). This student exchange initiative offers participants an international educational experience, with credits transferable to their respective programs.The IAO extends its sincere gratitude to the Biology Program, Faculty of Education, and the Computer Science Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, for their collaboration in teaching, supporting, and mentoring the exchange students throughout the duration of the project. We also express our appreciation to Ms. Waewalee Waewchimplee, Ph.D., for her coordination with UPGRIS. The students fulfilled their duties during the competition, which took place from November 30 to December 6, 2024, at the His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium, December 5, 2007.Student Volunteers of Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University Participated in Welcoming the Chinese Rally CaravanOn December 3, 2024, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University (NRRU), with the support of Ms. Arunrat Srisurach, a lecturer from the Chinese Language Program, deployed five students from the Chinese Language Program, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, to assist in recruiting student interpreters. Additionally, three students from the English Language Program, Faculty of Education, were assigned to assist in welcoming a delegation from the People’s Republic of China.The event was held at the Centara Hotel, Nakhon Ratchasima, and was part of a welcoming ceremony for the Chinese Rally Caravan, which aimed to strengthen diplomatic relations between Thailand and China on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of bilateral ties, under the slogan “China and Thailand, One Family.” The event, organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), was attended by 120 Chinese tourists.October-December 2024

This aimed to improve their global standings and enhance their chances of qualifying for the world tour.The students performed their duties during the event, which was held from December 1 to 9, 2024, at Terminal Hall, Terminal 21, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.October-December 2024

Col. Pongsak Jittabut, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, along with executives and faculty members from the Faculty of Science and Technology and staff from the International Affairs Office (IAO), Office of the President, welcomes executives from East China University of Technology (ECUT), Jiangxi Province, People’s Republic of China, to discuss potential academic collaboration between the two universities.The meeting, held at Suwat Liptapanlop Meeting Room 1, Building 31, focuses on ECUT’s interest in sending exchange students and lecturers in Geotourism for a short-term exchange program in 2025.Following the discussion, the IAO guides the ECUT executives on a visit to the Nakhon Ratchasima Museum at the Arts and Culture Center, where they are introduced to the history and culture of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, with IAO staff providing information in English.
