1993 Mazda RX-7 R1

My retinas tell me all I need to know here. This is the

most gorgeous generation of the RX and, therefore, the

best.

I don’t know why this car didn’t fetch more money.

Let’s look at why it should have.

build a rig that bests the Ultimate in terms of capability

and toughness. That would save you around $40,000.

Don’t forget that the FJ Cruiser has awful outward

visibility, and the manual gearbox has a very long

throw and little feel. It doesn’t drive terribly well on the

road, and you’d have to be mental to go wheeling in a

collector’s car.

THE GOOD: It’s rare.

THE BAD: Does anyone really notice rare newer Toyotas?
