EXAMPLES OF PROJECTS:

1. C 30/37 XC1 SCC

In this case self-compacting concrete was used for the roof beams of the logistic hall because
there was no possibility to vibrate the concrete.

2. C70/85 XC2, XF4 maximum aggregate size 4/8

This high compressive strength was used for temporary pillows for the bridge reconstruction.
Because the diameter of the form was 20cm the maximum aggregate size useable was 4/8.

3. C45/55 XC4, XF2 contents 3,5% entrained-air

The compressive strength class was used mainly for precast concrete bridge beams. The
climate in the Czech Republic is varying and structures have to be designed to comply with
exposure classes, in this case XF2 (freeze attack with de-icing agents) which is ensured by air
entrained concrete and silica fume.

4. C30/37 XF2 heavy-weight aggregate >3500 km/m3

This high density concrete was used for the ELI Beamlines research center, for the purposes
of radiation shielding. According to specification it was neccesary to use heavy-weight
aggregate >3500 km/m3 which was delivered from Sweden (Magna Dense).

5. Fibre-reinforced concrete

In addition to my required duties, I was also involved in many innovative projects using fibre-
reinforced concrete.

THE MASTER´S DIPLOMA THESIS: THE INITIAL TESTING OF

CONCRETE FOR INFRASTRUCTURE / THE CZECH TECHNICAL

UNIVERSITY IN PRAGUE (CZECH REPUBLIC) 08/2014 – 01/2015

https://www.cvut.cz/en
The purpose of my Master´s diploma thesis was focused on
designing concrete relating to precast elements of infrastructure.
The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and pratical. In the theoretical part significant
requirements of conrete are emphasized, particularly the requirements of the Ministry of
Transport in the Czech Republic. In the practical part I look at the method of designing four
different compressive strength classes, describe the input materials and the implementation of
the concrete testing. The results of the testing are in the conclusion of the thesis.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE + UNIVERSITY INFORMATION Picture 13 - The test method according to czech standard - Resistance of cement concrete
surface to water and defrosting chemicals of hardened concrete in a laboratory. This test method
applies to resistance to de-icing chemicals and thawing resistence, especially for concrete used
for infrastructure. The consequence of thawing and de-icing chemicals is degradation to the
surface of the structure
