Best Western Celebrates 20th Anniversary in Asia

Best Western Hotels & Resorts is celebrating two decades of professional excellence in Asia! In 2001, the group established its first regional office in Asia in the center of Bangkok, overseeing an initial portfolio of six hotels in four countries: Indonesia, The Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
In 20 successful years since this major milestone, Best Western’s expanded Bangkok office now supports a regional portfolio covering eight countries – Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, The Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam – with additional hotels in the pipeline in a wide range of exciting destinations. Eight of Best Western’s innovative brands are now available in Southeast Asia and Japan, with more on track to arrive in the coming years.

BWH Hotel Group Expands in Pakistan
BWH Hotel Group is excited to announce the signing of another new property in Pakistan. Scheduled to open in 2023, Best Western Hotel Murree will be situated in a scenic mountainous region of Punjab province, northeast of the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. It will feature 85 rooms and international amenities.
Located on the Murree Expressway, this modern midscale hotel will be ideal for local residents and international travelers who want to take a break from the vast Islamabad-Rawalpindi metropolitan area and enjoy fresh air and stunning scenery. The town of Murree is nestled in the Pir Panjal Range, more than 2,000 metres above sea-level.
Best Western Hotel Murree marks the latest phase of our expansion in Pakistan, with at least 6 new properties in the pipeline nationwide.

Best Western has made it even more achievable to become a Best Western Rewards Elite member, by reducing the threshold to achieve Elite status. Under the special rules for 2021, travelers worldwide will be able earn Elite status with just five nights, three stays or 5,000 points. This reduction applies to each BWR Elite Status tier, making it easier than ever for guests to climb the loyalty ladder!

This month, Best Western University is inviting all team members to learn how to achieve “Effective Team Communication”. When working in a team, it’s vital to maintain effective and open dialogue. It’s all too easy however, for teams to adopt bad habits. Poor communication can lead to misunderstandings, unnecessary conflicts and prevent other team members from having their say.
In this course, you will learn about the different verbal barriers to effective team communication and strategies for overcoming them. You will also learn about some active techniques that can help you become a better listener when managing your teams.
This course is ideal for any individual who works within a team.

We are delighted to welcome Ms. Jitanun Meanchaianun (Ji) to the Best Western team as our new Graphic Designer, based at the Regional Head Office in Bangkok.
Khun Ji obtained Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, and has a strong background in graphic design within the hospitality sector. Prior to joining Best Western, she was Graphic Designer for Shangri-la Hotel, Bangkok. We believe that Khun Ji’s skills will be a great asset to company.
