Just outside of Airdrie, Scotland, you will find the town of Motherwell. Located in this town, you will find The Motherwell Concert Hall, which hosts a wide variety of different acts for your pleasure, they have music, science and even pantomime for the whole family to enjoy. Showaddywaddy 50th Anniversary Concert Tour For the past 5 decades, Showaddywaddy has been entertaining generations. Branded “the greatest rock and roll band in the world” is an understatement for the things that this band has achieved, having sold over 20 million records and toured the whole world. Now, their 50th-anniversary tour comes to Motherwell, for a night of uplifting music and fun. Featuring some of their greatest hits such as “Under the Moon of Love” and “Pretty Little Angel Eyes”, this concert will take place on Saturday the 11th of March and tickets are available now at the price of £26.
The Story of Guitar Heroes This event is perfect for any guitar lovers. The Story of Guitar Heroes pays tribute to some of the greatest guitarists there have ever been. In this show, you will get to hear iconic guitar riffs from the likes of Jimmy Page, Brian May, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, Slash and many others. Throughout the show, the gifts musicians will use at least 30 different guitars! Watching this show, you will feel like the legends are right there in front of you, this is one not to be missed. Happening on Saturday 18th of March, tickets cost £25 for adults and £24 for concessions. Tim Peake: My Journey into Space This one is perfect for all of you lovers of science out there, the incredible Tim Peake will be telling stories about his greatest adventures through space. Tim Peake was the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station. In this show, you will be able to learn what it’s like to live in space. Tim will also be showing exclusive photos from his time in space, along with never been seen video footage. This is an incredibly rare experience to hear about space first-hand from one of the greatest living Astronauts. Tickets to this event, taking place on the 27th of March, are available now, with general admission tickets costing £32 and a premium option priced at £37. Mother Goose Everyone knows the perfect family night out is a night at the Panto! The Motherwell Easter Pantomime is back for 2023, after an incredibly successful previous year, with Rapunzel 2022 being a complete sell-out! If you’re not familiar with the story of Mother Goose, it follows an older woman with a full heart, but an empty purse, and as her struggles with money worsen, she encounters a goose on her farm that lays golden eggs. This heartwarming story is great for children of all ages, with some jokes for adults too. This production will run from the 10th of April until the 15th of April, with both matinee and evening performances occurring. The price of tickets for this event is £14, £54 for a family of 4, or if you are a group of10+, tickets will be £13 each. Whitney - Queen of the Night Whitney Houston was one of the greatest female vocalists of her generation, in “Whitney - Queen of the night” you can experience her music live. This show has gone on tour after having been a West End staple, and definitely shouldn’t be missed. Throughout the night you will be taken through the decades of Whitney’s career whilst hearing some of her most iconic songs. These will include “I wanna dance with somebody” “So Emotional” “How Will I Know” “My Love Is Your Love” and of course, arguably Whiteny’s most famous song “I Will Always Love You.” So if you’re ready to dance and have the time of your life, then visit the Motherwell Concert Hall on Friday the 13th of April, with tickets costing just £26.50 With all this going on, why not take a trip to Airdrie and visit the amazing theatre in our neighbouring town.
