In the heat of summer,
it can feel like Hashem
has “pulled the sun from
its sheath.” To preserve
the community’s ability
to focus on davening and
learning, ceiling fans assist
in keeping the room cool

and comfortable.

in a house in which ‫בבית שיש שם חלונות‬
there are windows.

“A person should pray only
in a house with windows,”
says the Talmud, “as it is
written, ‘and his windows
opened from his loft towards
Yerushalayim’” (Berachot
34b). Rashi believes that
while letting in light with
which we can see, windows
also reveal the sky, which
allows those looking through
it to remember Hashem
in shamayim. For our
community’s spiritual center,
windows have been designed
to both enhance the beauty
of the building while keeping
our vision on the Source of
our lives.

like the Schechina, our
Holy Books are deserving
of an ample and beautiful
home where they are
available to those who
wish to learn from them.

shofar was exceedingly
strong, and the entire
nation trembled.

The call of the shofar is a
powerful sound that awakens
us all with the task of
looking inward and finding
where we need to change.
Our intention as Jews is to
continue this process all year
round, constantly striving to
improve and grow. This was
the vision of our founding
members, who wished to
create an environment where
such positive and ongoing
change is possible. Our
beautiful and commanding
shofar will reverberate well
after the blasts, continuing
to inspire us throughout the
year.
