History of the Foundation From the Executive Director

Technology Education Labs


Through Clear Creek ISD’s intermediate school technology education courses,
students will not only gain technical skills, but they will also gain the soft skills
needed for success in today’s society. The courses are fundamentally based
on the principles of exploration, collaboration, innovation, creation, and
self-direction. These skills can be applied across multiple disciplines. Should
students go through these programs and decide to continue education

Clear Horizons Early College High School



Clear Horizons Early College High School was established in 2007 on the
campus of San Jacinto College South and provides opportunities to student
populations who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education
environments. Clear Horizons enables and encourages high school students to
be first generation college students and helps them develop the necessary
learning skills to succeed in both their high school and college courses. Clear
Horizons students graduate from San Jacinto College South with an associate
degree as well as a high school diploma from CCISD. At the November board “Clear Horizons is able to provide college tuition,
books, and fees to over 440 students each year

The Clear Creek Education Foundation funded $22,500 to Brookside
Intermediate to assist with instructional needs after Hurricane Harvey
left significant damage to their campus. CCEF was proud to be able to

“ I Love CCISD... Where Inspiration Becomes Reality” Fashion Show



The Clear Creek Education Foundation hosted its 11th annual
fashion show on April 2 at Mercedes Benz of Clear Lake. Themed
“I Love CCISD…Where Inspiration Becomes Reality!” more than
300 guests were in attendance and raised $24,053
to support academic enrichment programs in the Clear Creek
Independent School District. The Fashion Show showcased many
things CCEF loves about CCISD! Complete with runway seating,
hors d’oeuvre stations provided by 10 local restaurants, talent
vignettes featuring CCISD students, and t-shirts with winning
kindergarten student, Mason McCreger’s, artwork from McWhirter
Elementary. It sure was an event for all to enjoy!






















CCISD Alumni and Friends TopGolf Tournament


The Clear Creek Education Foundation hosted its 2nd annual CCISD
Alumni and Friends TopGolf Tournament on June 22. There were more
than 200 guests in attendance and nearly every bay was occupied with
alumni of CCISD as well as friends from around the area. A record
$18,497 was raised and will go directly back into CCISD
classrooms.

Annual Awards Presentation and Gala


The Clear Creek Education Foundation hosted its 25th anniversary gala on November
4 at South Shore Harbour Resort & Conference Center. Themed “Glitz and Glamour,”
more than 350 attendees helped honor many individuals for their positive contributions
to the Clear Creek Independent School District and raised $64,719 to support
academic enrichment programs.

Quarter Century Club Founding Members

The Quarter Century Club is a donor recognition program for individuals to commemorate the 25 Anniversary of the
Foundation. The membership fee is $10,000 and may be paid as a full cash donation or equal installments over a consecutive
four year period. After the four year anniversary, a yearly donation of $1,000 is required to remain as a standing member.

Members will receive their name listed on website, social media and newsletter correspondence;
Special Recognition at Community Partnership Breakfast; Perks of a $2,500 Skywalker Annual

2018 Annual Campaign




The Clear Creek Education Foundation kicked off its 2018 campaign at its annual Community

Partnership Breakfast on Friday, October 20 at Challenger Columbia Stadium with more than
300 community leaders, educators, board members and volunteers in attendance. From
robotics and audio-visual production to engineering and steel drums, CCEF funds a wide array
of hands-on, innovative learning opportunities for students that were showcased during the
breakfast. Clear Creek High School’s LyondellBasell Solar Car, CCISD’s Robot “Ruckus” and the
“Steelin’ Cats” Steel Drum Band from League City Intermediate all greeted guests outside with
high energy and fun! Executive Director, Kaci Hanson, and CCEF Chair elect, Jill Reason,
welcomed the crowd while student leaders from the “Leader in Me” program at Falcon Pass
Elementary, Druhmi Shah and Cayden Stathakos emceed the event. Mattress Mack and
CCEF multi-year grant winner Miriam Bailey concluded the program by inspiring everyone
on the importance of giving back and leaving a legacy that will make someone else’s
future brighter. CCEF would also like to thank the generous sponsors Houston Methodist St.
John Hospital and Green Bank who supported the event!
