CCEF Annual Report 2018

CCEF Annual Report 2018

2018 Annual Report

CCEF is proud to have funded More Than $3.2 million to Support Educational Excellence in CCISD!

The Clear Creek Education Foundation inspires educational excellence through
innovation across the Clear Creek Independent School District by securing a wide range

of resources through community-wide partnerships.

The Clear Creek Education Foundation is an established non-profit organization that
solely supports Clear Creek Independent School District since 1992. The Board of
Directors has diligently worked to provide innovative, hands-on learning materials that
truly take education to a higher level for our students. Our success of gifting $3,259,585
back in student programs to CCISD since inception is due to the tremendous support
received in our community from people and businesses that share our vision to Inspire
Educational Excellence.

The Board of Directors continue to look for new programs that will enhance learning and impact students. The
Leader in Me™ program is another example of how the Foundation collaborates with the School District to
enrich the education our children receive. Since this program’s introduction three years ago a plan has been
formulated to bring this leadership program to an additional fourteen schools in the next five years. With local
donor support of $634,000 already received the implementation is off to a great start.

The Foundation’s five-year plan developed this year lays out an aggressive strategy to gift over $5 million in
student programs by 2022. The continued collaboration with CCISD and the support of our community will
make this possible. We are working together to make it happen!

Houston Methodist Clear Lake Pledges $500,000 to Expand
The Leader in Me District-Wide Initiative

Houston Methodist Clear Lake has committed half a million dollars
to the Clear Creek Education Foundation in support of the Clear
Creek Independent School District’s planned expansion of The
Leader in Me program in 14 schools over the next five years. Clear
Creek ISD is in its third year of progressively implementing The
Leader in Me program at its schools.

The Leader in Me program is a whole school transformation process
that teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and
creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that
every child can be a leader. This mindset leads to tangible
improvements in the academic, behavioral and social well-being of
participating students.

With funding made possible by the Clear Creek Education
Foundation, Falcon Pass Elementary and Armand Bayou
Elementary were the first two CCISD campuses to introduce The
Leader in Me program into their school culture. Both campuses have
seen the trajectory of their school’s academic performance rise along
with student achievement and positive behaviors.

“The impact of Houston Methodist’s generous commitment will be both measurable and immeasurable for years to come,”
said Superintendent Dr. Greg Smith. “Our students will be even better equipped to achieve their full potential, build the

skill-set necessary for success in the 21st century and access more opportunities for a better life.”

Only 26 years ago Dr. Ron McLead began this foundation with love, insight, and a vision. Countless
others worked tirelessly over the years to form it into what it has become. Today, the Foundation takes
such pride in funding and fulfilling classroom teacher’s dreams of reaching new heights in the
education world and the ability to make learning come alive. All this could not be possible without the
tremendous support from our partners and a community that values the importance of education. We
thank you!

The Clear Creek Education Foundation will continue to strive for excellence and allow the classroom
teacher the ability to reach every student with passion. Teachers and administrators that are crazy
enough to think they can change the world…usually do! We want to be the stepping stone to build on their great ideas and
make them a reality. Our amazing community, you believe that too! We applaud you and appreciate your support in order
to succeed.

This year’s success could not be possible without the work of our wonderful 29 Directors. Their commitment to education
and the passion to take it to the next level shows in all the time and effort they put into every task. Our Executive Director
Deborah Laine and Marketing and Events Manager Kelsey McNeil, we thank you for your time, dedication, and
leadership. Let’s continue to work together to keep CCISD succeeding by offering a world class education. This is the
school system we want…this is the school system we need!

On behalf of the Clear Creek Education Foundation, thank you for your attention and your continued support! I can only
imagine what the future will bring…
