CCEF Annual Report 2019 FINAL

2019 Annual Report

The Clear Creek Education Foundation inspires educational excellence through innovation
across the Clear Creek Independent School District by securing a wide range of resources

through community-wide partnerships.

From the Executive Director Teacher and Student Grants

The mission of the Clear Creek Education Foundation (CCEF) is clearly Special Innovative Grants
defined and in all aspects inspires educational excellence through
innovation given to students of Clear Creek ISD. The commitment and Other Designated Programs
daily support from the CCEF Board of Directors is evident in the results Clear Horizons Early College H.S.
realized since inception in 1992. CCEF has provided $3,769,404 to the The Leader in Me Program
district for innovative, hands-on, and engaging learning materials that Boeing Makerspace Grant
takes education to the next level. CCEF offers five separate innovative National Board Teacher Certification
grant applications where any teacher or administrator can apply for
funds raised in our community. The results of these grants can be seen
district wide in all students and across all subject areas in some way.

We continue to collaborate with CCISD administrators and teachers to support those
programs that meet the mission of CCEF to take learning to the next level. The Leader in Me
training is truly teaching our kids the skills they need to be successful in the classroom as well as
in their personal lives. With this exciting initiative our community partners are making a real
lasting difference that students will take with them into their adult lives. CCEF is on target to
reach its aggressive five-year plan goal to gift $5 million to CCISD by 2022 for innovation in the
classroom. Community support is the backbone of CCEF’s success, and our continued
partnership will make this possible.

T On June 27th, the Clear Creek Education Foundation hosted its 4th Annual CCISD Alumni and Friends TopGolf
S Tournament. The tournament hosted more than 220 guests in attendance from around the area, all enjoying a great

afternoon full of fun, fellowship, games and prizes! Just over $33,700, a new record for this event, was raised to
support innovative programs in the Clear Creek Independent School District. New this year, one of the five RV-12
airplanes built by Clear Springs High School students was featured at the event for guests to see. The Clear Creek
Education Foundation funded a portion of the first airplane built through a Teacher Innovative Grant. Even more exciting,
a fly-by took place with four home-built RV airplanes. Two of the pilots and builders, David Grover and Rick Carr, worked
closely with Ernie Butcher, the lead on this aerospace engineering program through Eagle’s Nest Projects, on mentoring the
Clear Springs High School students as they built these planes.

A Note From Our Chairman

As we bring another successful year to a close, I want to thank the amazing support of our volunteers, sponsors,
teachers, partners, and directors for their endless support to the Clear Creek Education Foundation. With the
combination of supporters and collaboration with our community, the Foundation can take education to the
next level in CCISD.
CCEF could not do this without the tremendous support of its sponsors and volunteers. Additionally, our
exceptional staff, Executive Director, Deborah Laine, and Marketing and Events Manager, Kelsey McNeil,
provide great attention to detail in making the Foundation a success with grace and dedication for the faculty
and students of CCISD.
Successful students and an exceptional school district is everyone’s business. The partnership within the community to support the
Leader in Me program, which empowers students with leadership and life skills, has been overwhelming. The foundation continues to
support this program with our various donors and community partners.
CCEF believes every child has the ability for greatness. CCEF wants to do their part to help this become a reality. The teachers in CCISD
are second to none. They are our first responders to helping our children achieve their hopes, dream, and aspirations.
On behalf of the Clear Creek Education Foundation, thank you for your continued support!
