Construction of Evacuation Center in Brgy. Bonot, San Andres, Catanduanes
“Kang dae pa ini na-construct,
syempre duman kami sa eskwelahan, medyo kabado
kami ta igwa na itong kalumaan. Kaya pag may
(When this evacuation center was not yet
constructed, we evacuate in schools, and we feel
nervous because the buildings are quite old. The
residents living in the coastal area now know where
to go in times of calamity. It is very safe here.)

Core Local Road Construction in Brgy. Tibo and Cagdarao, Panganiban, Catanduanes
(Our way of living has improved because of the concreted
and accessible road from Panganiban to Viga. It is easier
for us now. The children can also play and use their
bicycles now. We are very thankful.)

Concreting of Mactan-Malbug (Phase I and Phase II ) in Cawayan, Masbate
(The bus that carry our products didn’t reach its destination because the tires were already buried in mud;
we had to wait for a day for our products to be delivered to Masbate City. We also need a bigger vehicle
just to pull the bus’s tires from being buried in mud, but our products can now be easily transported to
Masbate City.)

Upgrading of Mactan-Malbug Road = 6km length

Provision of Potable Water Supply in BarangayAlegria, Pio V. Corpus, Masbate
pinggan at pag-iigib.
bahay.”
(It is a lot easier now to do the laundry, wash the dishes
and fetch water. We also get our drinking water here. If
in the past we fetch water from deep wells, we can just
fetch just within our yard.)

Local Bridge in Barangays Bacolod and Carriedo
Irosin, Sorsogon
(The hanging bridge is a very big help for us
residents of Carriedo because we no longer need
to walk down the dike to cross the river. It is also
easier for us to transport our products such as
copra.)
Maximo Estremero
Resident of Brgy Bacolod
ipinagawang hanging brigde. Ligtas na ligtas po itong daanan
ng mga bata at matatanda.”
(When I was little, I experienced having to brave crossing the
river. It is very dangerous for the students especially when its
rainy because the water in the river rises. Now, the constructed
hanging bridge is well-built. It is very safe to walk on for
children and adults alike.)

Rehabilitation of Somagonsong-Calomagon-Namo Road in Bulan, Sorsogon
(This road gets very muddy when it rains that it even
reach the knees. I experienced being teased by my
schoolmates because of my mud-covered shoes. Now
that the road here in our barangay is already paved and
concreted, we wouldn’t need to walk too far because it is
now accessible for tricycles and motorcycles.)
Alvis Gulpo
Resident of Barangay Calomagon
(It was hard for us to deliver our products such
as copra because during the dry season, the road
becomes very rough and bumpy; and during the
rainy season, it becomes very muddy. I am extra
careful when I drive my children to and from school
because of the slippery road. )
Roberto Montalban
Resident of Sitio San Jose, Brgy. Calomagon
Construction of Core Local Access Road in Barangays San Jose and Bandi
Donsol, Sorsogon
So malaking
(When the access road in Barangay San Jose and Bandi was constructed, the 3-4 hour walk or travel to school
was reduced to just an hour. It is a big help for us who usually commutes as the 300-peso daily fare was also
reduced to P100.00 per day.)

Provision of Potable Water Supply in Barangay Lalud, Bulusan, Sorsogon
“Pagkalipas ng forty-seven years, nagkaroon na ng
patubig dito saamin.
ngayon.”
(After 47 long years of struggling for fresh water, we now
have our own water system within the barangay. We won’t
need to walk for an hour to the spring where we used to
fetch water. If in the past we can only take a bath once or
three times every week, we can now do it regularly... our
lives are more comfortable now.)
doon. Ngayon, magaang-magaan na saamin kasi
magbubukas na lang ng gripo. Nakakapag dilig na din ako
ng halaman. Ngayon lang ako nagkahalaman ng marami
kasi may tubig na.”
(Before, we fetch our water for drinking in the river. The
route towards the river is very steep and difficult. It is now
a lot easier for us because we can just simply open the
faucet in our respective homes. I can also water my plants
everyday now.)
