How Does the AAPM&R Registry Technically Work?

The AAPM&R Registry is an easy-to-use clinical data registry. A registry is a vehicle for gathering and
storing data, allowing longitudinal patient outcome analysis with an emphasis on quality improvement.
The AAPM&R Registry is not mandated, and there are no technical requirements to participate.

YOU HAVE 3 OPTIONS TO SUBMIT YOUR DATA:

1. Pull: The AAPM&R Registry can extract directly from an EHR through our
Registry Practice Connector (RPC) software–provided by FIGmd–either on its
EHR database server, or on a computer that has access to the EHR database.
Then, the practice’s RPC connects with FIGmd’s system to initiate the secure
transmission of the patient/encounter-related clinical data to the Registry.

2. Push: Download your EHR files according to a Clinical Data Repository
(CDR) template and send them to the Registry, which requires no software
installation. The transfer of data occurs securely via the cloud.

3. Web Portal: Manually enter your data online, which is set up according to the
quality measures used by the Registry.
