Dear Donators,
As you read this letter under the warmness and comfort of your home, hundreds of people out there are struggling and suffering from the deadly
combination of the scorching heat, freezing nights, and starvation. Facing risks of not surviving another day in the lonely streets of Semarang City,
these people, unwanted and abandoned by their own families, have nowhere to go and are marginalized from society, as they are seen as “different”.
But what actually makes them “different”? Just like all of us, they are all human beings and deserve exactly the same as what we deserve. The fact
that they possess disabilities, whether it is physical or mental, should not be the reason why they can be rejected from society and left all alone to
wander aimlessly. They should never have been treated the way they were, and they should all be given the chance to live just like everyone else.

It has been many years since the establishment of The School of Life Foundation. Here, the foundation provides a home and a community for
those who are often neglected. Everyone at this foundation is always welcomed and embraced, and is living a much better life under the care of
Ibu Priska, the founder of The School of Life Foundation. Currently, they are accommodating more than 60 people, yet they wish to take care of
more and want to reach out to those that are suffering and isolated, in light of giving them hope for a new life they deserve. However, this is
definitely not an easy task. With the pandemic, the difficulties the foundation is facing became even more pronounced as their funds were gradually
decreasing. There are still so many people that desperately need help, yet too little resources to save them all.
Just like our name, To The Rescue is indeed going to rescue and help those afflicted and oppressed. We cannot just sit back and watch hundreds
of people die hopelessly, but instead we wish to become their beacon of light. Together with your help, we will make the foundation’s dream a
reality. To give everyone the opportunity to live a better life, and to establish a home they never had. We welcome donations in any form and in
any amount, because we believe that whatever you give, will make a huge impact in the lives of many. Let us all help our fellow brothers and
sisters, and restore faith in humanity.
Yours Faithfully,
