Who Are We?
Vienna-Finley Elementary School is an A-rated school located just south of Scottsburg, IN.
VFES teachers use a model of blended learning to educate, engage, and enrich students. In
a blended learning environment teachers use a variety of resources (technology,
manipulatives, online resources, textbooks, etc.) and a variety of approaches (whole
group teaching, small learning groups, one-on-one tutoring, student collaborative groups,
etc.) to help meet the needs of each individual student. VFES 4th and 5th grade students
are currently issued an iPad at the beginning of the year that they use in class and are also
permitted to take home each night. Our plan is to be 1:1 Kindergarten - 5th grade with
iPads and/or iPad Minis by the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year.
