What is a Beautillion?
A Beautillion is… The Programs were…
A Beautillion is a social rite of passage culminating in a "Black The Beaus and their parents were

A Beau is… Workshop
A young man who is being prepared to conquer the world and Auto 101

community, his faith and his educational foundation. He is set Meals on Wheels Holiday Meal Prep
apart among young men by his character. The young men chosen
to be “Beaus” are selected from a number of recommended Meals of Wheels Yard Clean Up
candidates. Some of the criteria used to determine the most
suitable candidates for the Beautillion program are: young men Cooking with Chef Ken
who have demonstrated achievements in academics, sports, the
arts, leadership, community service and church involvement, as Cultural Event
well as, an overall commitment to the advancement of the African

The Beautillion process spans over four to six months
of preparation with the following goals in place for each
participant:
• To recognize the achievements of young African American
men as a community.
• To inspire and stimulate further growth, academic excellence,
community service, learning and leadership.
• To enhance their sense of civic responsibility and
appreciation for cultural heritage.
• To bring about self-awareness, self-determination, self-
actualization and purpose greater than self.
• To provide meaningful experiences that foster community

Tyra White, Co-chair On behalf of the Awesome Arlington chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., it is
Geneeka Estrada, Co-chair with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 22nd Annual Beautillion Ball and
Eshandra Cox, Co-chair Fundraiser. It is our mission in Jack and Jill to nurture not just our children, but all
Dr. Felicia Abram, President children, and equip them to be the leaders of tomorrow. Our prayer is that this
experience has at least in some small way contributed toward that mission in our
Beaus’ lives. The beautiful fortunate turn, however, is that these outstanding
young men have blessed us and made our hearts so happy with their presence,
their smiles, and their determination.
Our theme this year, “Future Kings Reigning Over Their Destinies,“ directly speaks
to the preparation that these 11 young men have made and will continue to make
to take up the reigns as leaders in their families, communities, and even
throughout this nation. They have participated in the Arlington Chapter
Beautillion programming for 7 months concentrating on activities that develop
both leadership and life skills. And we are so excited to celebrate them tonight,
not only for the hard work that they have put into Beautillion, but also for their
work in academics, sports, and leadership in their communities!
We want to thank their very supportive parents who have allowed us to partner
with them these last several months. Our desire was to partner with these
families to put an exclamation mark on the end of their journey from children to
young adults. To the families and Beaus participating in the Beautillion this year,
we want to say that our journey does not have to end with the conclusion of the
grand event. We will continue to lift you in prayer for years to come and we want
you to come back and keep us up to date on how God is increasing your territory.
We are so proud of you and so excited to see the paths you take.
A big “Thank You” goes out to Captain Julius Walker, Mr. Albert Mitchell,
Mr. Roderick Russell, Mr. Ron Abram, Mr. Will Glover, and all the fathers of Jack
and Jill, and fathers and father figures of the Beaus who have taken an active and
involved role in planning and executing many of our events, and who have
stepped up to be there whenever they have been needed. We could not do this
without you.
This experience has been a lot of work for us all, but the reward is so worth it, and
we are so grateful that we’ve been allowed to be part of this wonderful
experience for our chapter, and for these fine young men and their families.

LisaThompson
Ms. Lisa Thompson is a native of Kansas City, Kansas. She began dancing at the
Academy of Performing Arts under the tutelage of Ms. Irene McLaurian-Williams,
at the age of six. Through dance Lisa was exposed to many disciplines of dance
including, ballet, tap, baton, and modern/lyrical. Lisa was selected to participate
as a Kansas City Chiefette, dancing at the games and during the halftime
performances while still in high school. Lisa attended and graduated from Kansas
State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Science with a Dance
minor. While working for Children’s Mercy Hospital she auditioned and was
selected to be a Cheerleader for the NBA Basketball team, Kansas City Kings, now known as the Sacramento
Kings. Lisa eventually went back to Kansas State University to receive a Master’s of Science degree in
Counseling and Student Personnel Administration. While attending graduate school, Lisa was director of the
Kansas State University Pridettes dance team. She is also the Founding Director of the Wildcat Dancers/
Cheerleaders (now known as the Classy Cat Dancers). After graduate school, she moved to Arlington, Texas
and was an Academic Advisor, Cheerleading Coach, and Faculty member at Southern Methodist University.
She has been working in higher education for over 39 years. She is currently the Senior Director of the TRIO
Pre-College Programs at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Lisa is very involved in the community through dance. She is the owner of Step By Step Dance Studio, founded
in 1985, whose mission is to educate and train dancers to appreciate dance as an art form and to develop
high self-esteem, discipline, and self-confidence that can be carried to other activities and professional
settings. Lisa works with many groups in the community providing dance and choreography for a variety of
events and activities including the Arlington MLK Celebration Committee, Inc., Jack and Jill of America,
Inc. Beautillions, Ambassadors of Fort Worth Debutante Balls, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Debutante
Presentation and training, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Ambassador Balls, Miss Black and Gold Pageants,
and many others. Lisa also serves on the Arlington Library Board and the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA
Board of Directors.
She is a member of Xi Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She has served as
President of the Chapter and enjoys working with the chapter’s youth programs. She strongly believes that “to
whom much is given, much is expected”, and “that we should be the change that we want to see in the world.”
Lisa has one daughter, Erica Thompson Esq., who in addition to working as an Attorney, co-directs Step By Step

Paul Joseph Fadel, III (aka “Manny”) is the son of Dr. Paul and Erika Fadel.
Manny has a younger sister (Olivia Simone Fadel) and a younger brother (Isaiah
Adam Fadel).
Manny is a Future King Reigning Over His Destiny because he has always
been confident and determined to forge his own path. His confidence and
determination have allowed him to be successful on the soccer field where he has
played for both club and high school teams. He was selected to be in the regional
pool for the regional Olympic development team.
Manny is a senior at Mansfield Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield, TX. He
volunteers his time through events sponsored by Jack and Jill of America, Inc. He
has been a member of Jack and Jill for four years.
After graduation, Manny plans to attend college to study criminal justice. His goals are to obtain a law degree and
work for the Drug Enforcement Agency.

Paul’s escort is Belle Khloi Charles, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Hale Jr. of
Mansfield, TX. Khloi is a senior attending
Mansfield Frontier High School. After
graduating, she plans to attend Tarleton State University and major
in animal science. She is a 16-year member of the Arlington Chapter
of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and currently serves as the teen
Foundation Chair.

ROBERT ALLEN GLENN, III
Robert Allen Glenn, III (Trey) is the son of Robert Allen Glenn, II, CPA and
Tina Taylor Glenn. His paternal grandparents are the late Superintendent E. R.
Glenn Sr. and Dixie Jewel Glenn (living) of Fort Worth, Texas and his maternal
grandparents are the late Joseph Carroll Taylor and Alice Mae Chavis Taylor of
Port Arthur, Texas. Trey has one brother, Cleve J. Glenn, Attorney at Law, and
one sister, Jordyn McKenzie Glenn. Trey is the proud uncle to Landon Jevon
and Vivienne Grace Glenn. Trey is a “Future King Reigning Over His Destiny”
because he exhibits leadership, self-determination, and discipline every day.
Those characteristics enable him to excel in the classroom, on the basketball
court, and in his community.
Trey is a senior at James Martin High School in Arlington, TX and has a passion for sports and music. As a child, he
played baseball, soccer and basketball with his dad coaching many of his teams. He decided in high school to focus
on basketball. At Martin, Trey has been a member of the Men’s Choir and competed on the Men’s Junior Varsity
and Varsity Basketball teams. He was selected by 6A Region I District 4 Coaches to the First Team All-District
during the 2018-2019 season. During the past ten years, he has played on AAU teams which has afforded him the
opportunity to travel to many places in the United States in pursuit of excellence in the sport of basketball.
Trey has been a member of the Arlington Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc, since he was 5 years old. While in
Jack and Jill, he held the position of PYT Treasurer, attended teen conference, had a role in every Beautillion for the
past 12 years, and participated in community service projects and other activities. He especially enjoyed his service
with the Tarrant Area Food Bank, preparing meals for children from disadvantaged communities, and volunteering
at the MLK Day of Service.
Trey attends church at The Potters House in Belle
Dallas. His other interests include strength

JULIAN ALEXANDER SANDERS LARRY
Beau Julian Alexander Sanders Larry is the oldest son of Cornell and LaShanda Larry, and
big brother to Sean and Xavier. He is a senior at Mansfield High School.
As the youngest in his class, Beau Julian will graduate high school a year early while
maintaining a challenging course load and being actively engaged in extracurricular
activities. Beau Julian played basketball and soccer for 10 years, and was a member of the
varsity football team in high school where he was recognized as all-district honors. Julian
is also the senior class representative for the Parent Teacher Student Association.
In addition to sports, Beau Julian participated in the Advancement Via Individual
Determination (AVID) program and TRIO Educational Talent Search at the University
of Texas at Arlington during high school. Beau Julian also committed considerable time
toward leadership development programs such as the Alpha Ambassador Club for three
years where he served as Parliamentarian. Beau Julian has been a member of the Arlington Chapter of Jack and Jill of America,
incorporated for 12 years. During his tenure, Beau Julian served faithfully on the junior and senior teen boards since 7th grade
