My Story 2018 Fall Collection
Inspiration
Kavalis jewelry is inspired by family traditions and the celebration of life's journey wherever it may
take you.

My name is Gloria Van Arsdale and I was born in South America to Spanish immigrant
parents. I am now a Colorado based mom of two wonderful daughters. In my family, it is
tradition to commemorate each special occasion with a piece of jewelry. Each piece has a
story to tell and to be passed along to new generations.

When I left home at 17 to attend college in the US, I not only brought with me dreams for a
bright future, I brought my family and life story concealed in a small worn-out jewelry box.
Although my family was no longer with me, I could hear their stories and feel their presence
and strength every time I wore one of their meaningful pieces.

When my oldest daughter was graduating from college, I searched for that distinct piece of
jewelry to capture the commemorative moment forever to no avail. My choices were limited
to mass produced jewelry similar to what everyone else was wearing. I was determined that
her graduation ring was going to be as beautiful as the story it told. With big dreams and a
design idea too complicated to be handmade, I taught myself CAD design and after 6 months
created a one of kind graduation ring, unique and special just like my daughter

It is the sparkle I saw in my daughter’s eyes the day she received her graduation gift and the
pride and joy she felt wearing a graduation ring created just for her that made me realize that
I had finally found my passion.

I want to create meaningful jewelry to Inspire and Empower you throughout your life’s journey.
