LayerSwitch Internet Exchange

Extremely cost-effective Compared to IP-Transit
Any traffic exchanged within the LAN isn't billed. Therefore all traffic that you can reroute from
your IP-Transit connections onto the Internet Exchange LAN will instantly start saving you
money. The more peers you gather, the more traffic you can shift. Start peering today!
Built for the community

2
LSIX was built out of a need for regional traffic exchange strengthening.
Our initiative has a modest for profit model and is built by network
operators, for network operators. Our community has a variety in
networks starting from small internet service providers and hosting
companies to large international content delivery networks.

Better Performance & Reliability

The LayerSwitch Internet Exchange peering LAN is powered by SDN capable switches
with 100G support that interconnect our facilities via VXLAN over dark fiber and
wavelengths. Low latency between our sites, redundancy at the edge and high speed
connectivity.

High-Speed Infrastructure

The LSIX Peering LAN is FSOS powered and interconnects datacenters with (multi-)10G
CWDM/DWDM wavelengths and/or (multi-)100G via dark fiber. Our distribution switches
support 1G, 10G, 40G and 100G ports.
