ACKNOWLEDGMENT

BISMILLAHIRRAHMANIRRAHIM…
Alhamdulillah, we have done our E-magazine assignment. This
task would not have been possible without the full support and
guidance from Sir ABDULLAH BIN ABD RAHMAN, we truly
appreciate him for giving us a nonstop guidelines in order to E-
magazine report, also the one who have been provide us with the
protected academic time to pursue those goals.
Our greatest gratitude to each other who always keep reminding
each other about those importance list in order to complete this
report. The key to be success is always help each other and be a
helpful person. Other classmates also provide extensive personal
and professional guidance and taught me a great deal about both
scientific research and life in general.
The lesson that we got from this E-magazine report is that we
got to learn about the knowledge of the societal and health
issues related to human system. This task also taught us on how
we are going to manage the societal and health issues precisely in

DISCUSSION

We can learn that Bilirubin is a
substance that is formed normally from the
process of decomposition of red blood cells in the
body. Jaundice clearly means that there’s too
much bilirubin in your blood, but the underlying
cause can very widely. Jaundice is also common in
adults and babies but we often hear this jaundice
often occurs in infants.

Some causes can be treated with a
change in your diet or lifestyle, but others may
need immediate surgical or long-term treatment
using Phototheraphy Light for babies and
treatment for babies is breastfeeding but if it a
serious case the baby should see a doctor
immediately. The probability of getting jaundice is
there because apart from newborns there are also
adults who exposed from jaundice.

CONCLUSION

Here we can identify that jaundice occurs
because the accumulation of bilirubin in the baby's
blood. Bilirubin itself is a yellow substance that is
produced from the process of destroying red blood cells
naturally. This condition of jaundice often strikes
newborns because the newborn’s liver is not yet fully
functioning. This jaundice occurs in newborns in the first
week. The way to cure jaundice for newborns is to use
light phototherapy to reduce jaundice in the baby.

Phototherapy is the use of visible light to treat
severe jaundice in the neonatal period. Approximately
60% of term babies and 85% preterm babies will develop
clinically apparent jaundice, which classically becomes
visible on day 3, peaks days 5-7 and resolves by 14 days of
age in a term infant and by 21 days in the preterm infant.
Treatment with phototherapy is implemented in order to

prevent the neurotoxic effects of high serum
unconjugated bilirubin. Phototherapy is a safe, effective
method for decreasing or preventing the rise of serum
unconjugated bilirubin levels and reduces the need for

exchange transfusion in neonates.
