Four-sided House, Waterford, Ireland The foursided house is a contemporary translation of a traditional Georgian country barriers. This is achieved by a central two-storey atrium, which visually connects the house. The living, kitchen, dining and bedroom spaces are centered around the atrium looking out towards the mature landscape garden. All internal spaces follows the Georgian principle in terms of height, width and lenght this approach is further extended in the contemporary facade treatment of the house which is a combination of stone, glass, render and steel. The four apartment blocks are arranged around a central raised landscape podium, with car parking and storage areas below.
