ABOUT US

Department of Computer Engineering was established in the year 1997,
with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer
Engineering. With rapidly evolving technology and the continuous need for
innovation the department has always produced quality professionals,
holding important positions in computer science and IT industry in India
and abroad.

The department started two years M. Tech. in Computer Engineering
programme in the year 2010, with the objective of providing opportunities
to the graduate students to pursue research career in the domain of
Computer Engineering.

Achievements

➢ Our team UVPCE01, has secured 2nd runners up prize at the Smart India
Hackathon 2018 (World’s largest Hackathon) at GirijanandaChaudhry
Institute (Guwahati) on 30th- 31st March 2018. They have been
rewarded a cash prize of Rs.50000 and Medals in this 36hours coding
and app development competition. They will get a chance to deploy their
android application in a real-time environment.

➢ The team comprised of 6 members from B.TechSem-VI (CE) namely, Patel
Adeetya, IshaVankineni, Heli Patel, Vrinda Bhatt, Harsh Patel and
Umang Desai; worked under the mentorship of Prof. PrashantModi (IT
dept.).

➢ Our Team SixBitB consisting of Nisha Singh Tomar, HomiVarma, Ritik
Sharma, Rahul Bhenjalia, KirandeepKaur and Akshar Tank were one of
the 1296 teams selected out of 12047 teams throughout the country for
the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon 2018 at Kanpur.

➢ ParthMakadiya student of batch 2014 is currently doing his industry
training in HexadGmBHcompany,Germany.

➢ Jugal Bhatt student of batch 2014 is Microsoft Student Partner since
November 2015. He got the opportunity to attend annual summit at BITS
Pilani organized by Microsoft.
