1. Project Rationale
The 3rd National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art, Culture and Design and

the International Arts & Designs Collaborative Exhibition 2021 project is organised to be as a
platform for academic exchange of knowledge between artists, faculty members and students in
all fields of art and design, within the theme of "On The Plurality of Arts, Distance and Together-
ness”.

This project is a collaboration of universities from both public and private sectors, who offer
art and design programs, which consists of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Burapha Universi-
ty, the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Dhurakij Pundit University, the Faculty of Fine Arts Bundit-
patanasilpa Institute, and the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus (4U
PLUS network affiliate). All 4 universities are committed to encourage and develop the exchange
of knowledge through thinking processes and creative design between artists, faculty members
and students in the higher education level. This network is expecting to educate students to be
knowledgable with a variety of arts. This year, the project is now focusing on the changing of this
present situation of the society; how we are keeping a distance with each other; and at the same
time, being together in harmony, which has become the subject in bringing challenges, expand-
ing new ideas, creating inspirations, encouraging creativity, and pushing forward the advance-
ment of art and design that appears in this New Normal era.

This project is the implementation of activities according to the strategic plans of the 4
universities, which is emphasising to create a forum to disseminate research results in the fields
of art, culture and design. It can also especially help in supporting both teaching and learning and
pushing forward the development of knowledge in arts and design. Therefore, it is considered to
be a very important collaboration between educational institutions, that brings a wide range of

benefits to both faculty members, artists and students who participate in this project, as well as,
helps transfer knowledge to the society in the form of academic services for those who interest-
ed in art, design, and including, the field of Thai culture to progress further.

2. Objectives
1) To encourage the concept of expanding a boundary in exchanging knowledge and

academic experiences of research and creation of art and design work in all fields between
higher education institutions.

2) To provide a platform for integrating, transferring, developing and extending knowledge
in culture, art, and design with a creative approach to a new society sustainably.

3. Dates and Times of the 3rd National Academic Conference and the International Arts and
Designs Collaborative Exhibition

4. The Venue for the 3rd National Academic Conference and the International Arts and Designs
Collaborative Exhibition

at Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts Gallery, Burapha University and on an online platform
at http://www.fineartbuu.org/

5. Expected Participants for the 3rd National Academic Conference and the International Arts
and Designs Collaborative Exhibition

The target group of 100 people, which consists of
1) Faculty members and students from universities in the network of 4U PLUS
2) Faculty members and students from other universities who offer art and design
programs
3) Academics, researchers, artists, designers and anyone who interested in these fields.

6. Format for a Presentation of the 3rd National Academic Conference and the International Arts
and Designs Collaborative Exhibition

1) Participants submit research articles, academic articles, and creative research article
through an online registration and submission system at http://www.fineartbuu.org/ in order to
be reviewed by a committee of experts. Those who received an acceptance from a review to
participate in the presentation, please upload a presentation file in a format of a 10-15 minutes
VDO by May 7, 2021.

2) Participants submit creative works in order to be selected to exhibit in the 3rd Interna-
tional Arts and Designs Collaborative Exhibition through the online registration and submission
system. The committee will review the attachment of the work files in JPG (with a resolution of
more than 300 DPI), creative works can be submitted for up to 3 pieces per person. The exhibi-
tion of creative works is going to be display on a platform of an exhibition 360-degree at
http://www.fineartbuu.org/

8. Schedule for submission of research articles / academic articles / creative articles / creative
work and registration

Open for submission of articles and creative works in an February 1 - 10, 2021
early bird registration February 11 - March 26, 2021
Open for submission of articles and creative works in a March 26, 2021
regular registration March 27 - April 12, 2021
Deadline for all submission April 15 - April 22, 2021
Review submitted articles and creative works by the May 1, 2021
committee of experts. (Peer Review) May 7, 2021.
Notification of reviewing results, revise the final version of May 21, 2021
article according to the suggestions.
Participants submit a final version of revised article back to
the committee of experts.
Participants who received a acceptance of articles, submit

-a 10 15 minutes video presentation to the committee.

Conference Day

9. Scope of research articles / academic articles / creative articles and creative works
• Research artåicles, academic articles, creative articles, thesis, or graduate study work must
be a completed presentation of the work. It must not have been published anywhere before.
• Creative works must be a visual presentation of the finished work and must not have been
exhibited or published anywhere before.
Note:
• Research articles, academic articles, and creative articles (full paper) of the participants
who are selected and reviewed by the committee of experts (Peer Review) with excellent prizes
(3) and outstanding prizes (10) will receive a trophy and a certificate. These articles are going
to be published in Burapha Art Journal (TCI Tier 2), Issue 2/2021 (July - December 2021) and also
published in an E-Book format on 4U PLUS network website.
• Articles that have been reviewed and revised on the recommendation of experts (Peer
Review) will receive a certificate of participation. These abstract articles are going to be
published in an academic Conference Document (Proceeding) and full articles are going to be
published in an E-Book format on 4U PLUS network website.
• Creative work that have been reviewed by a panel of experts (Peer Review) will be exhibit-
ed in the 3rd online international arts and design collaborative exhibition and will receive a certif-
icate of participation. These creative works are going to be publish in an E-Book format on 4U
PLUS network website.

10. Characteristics of research articles / academic articles / and creative articles
It has to be a complete article with about 10-12 pages long in an A4 sized paper format.

Participants must arrange the articles according to the writing format of research articles and
academic articles set by the Committee. Participants can register and submit full articles as
electronic files in both formats of : 1. Microsoft words; and 2. PDF . All articles must be submitted
through an online registration and submission system.

* Submission of creative work in the 3rd International Arts &
Designs Collaborative Exhibition (IADCE 2021), registration fee
of 1,000 Baht

* Submission in both events which are an article for the
academic conference and a creative work for the exhibitions,
registration fee of 3,000 baht.

General Public * Submission of academic article or research article in the 3rd
National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art,
Culture and Design, registration fee of 2,500 Baht

* Submission of creative work in the 3rd International Arts &
Designs Collaborative Exhibition (IADCE 2021), registration fee
of 1,500 Baht

* Submission in both events which are an article for the
academic conference and a creative work for the exhibitions,
registration fee of 4,000 baht.

Note:
1) If participants (all types of payments) do not pass the reviewing of research articles /
academic articles /creative articles / crAeative works or do not get to present the article, the
organiser of the event reserves the right not to refund the registration fee in any case.
2) Partåicipants who register for a submission of research article / academic articles /
creative articles/ and creative work must pay the registration fee, along with uploading articles
and other document at the same time, which means, the participants will need to submit 1.
Research articles / academic articles / creative articles /or creative works; 2. Registration fee
and 3. Registration form for attending the academic conference. If all documents are not sent
to the organiser, the organiser reserves the right not to pass articles for reviewing.
3) Participants who register to participate in all types of online academic conferences
program within February 1-10, 2021 (early bird registration) will receive a 20% discount
on the registration fee. The payment for this early bird registration has to be made
between February 10 - 15, 2021. If the payment is not made during this specified period,
participants have to make a payment in a regular rate.

12. Payment Method for Registration
• Registration payment should be made between February 10 - March 26, 2021
through Krungthai Bank Limited, Burapha University branch, a saving account, account
name of Burapha University, account number of 3-8610-0442-9 (Only). Please sent a
transfer slip, and also specify the name on the receipt to [email protected].
• The registration will be completed only after the Online Conference Coordination
Department, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Burapha University received a transfer
slip.

14. Expected Results
1) Participants of this academic conference would have an understanding and a

positive attitude, which is able to pass on their knowledge and experiences gained

2) Faculty members, academics, researchers, artists and students would have an
opportunity to åpresent their research and publish new research findings, which can
be beneficial for academic development. They are expected to gain new knowledge
about the development of research potential for sustainable development.

3) Participants are able to disseminate creative works and expand a higher educa-
tion academic networks in arts and design at the national level.

The 3rd National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art, Culture and Design and the International Arts & Designs
Collaborative Exhibition provide a great platform of knowledge exchange between artists, academics, and scholars, specialized in visual
arts and design.

The conference aims to promote academic research in the field of art, culture, and design in line with the strategic plan
initiated under the collaboration of four allied universities.

The Conference and the Art Exhibition are expected to contribute to the development of learning and teaching as well as to
promote new aspects of art knowledge. This event will also facilitate collaborations, within and among art institutes and universities,
thereby being a fruitful benefit to all participants, academics, artists, and scholars. Moreover, we believe this conference will help broaden
art knowledge, concepts, inspirations to communities, society, and our country.

This 3rd National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art, Culture and Design and the International Arts & Designs
Collaborative Exhibition are in line with our core mission as the main university in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) that consistently
supports the development of scientific research and high-quality artistic creations.

We strongly believe that the integration of academic research and local potential is a catalyst for people development in
communities that will, in turn, contribute to the economic and sociocultural development in the EEC zone.

The 3rd National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art, Culture and Design and the International Arts & Designs
Collaborative Exhibition are under a collaboration of four universities: namely the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Burapha University,
the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Dhurakij Pundit University and
the Faculty of Fine Arts, Bunditpatanasilpa Institute. The event is also supported by the international partnership networks in China, South
Korea, India and Hungary.

This year, the conference is under the theme oåf “On The Plurality of Arts, Distance and Togetherness”. It is our hope that it
will serve as a unique platform for all stakeholders, artists, lecturers, graduates and scholars in both the art and design spheres to share
their valuable experiences, lessons learned, and best practices with each other.

The comprehensive range of sessions will include presentations of academic papers via online platform. Moreover, the Interna-
tional Arts & Designs Collaborative Exhibition will be organized to showcase the works of art to the public at large at the campus art
gallery of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Art, Burapha University. An online exhibition will also take place in parallel due to the Covid-19
situation.

This organization of this conference owes its success to the great cooperation of all parties concerned. This shows our capacity
of self-adaptation in response to the digital disruption. Challenges now become a catalyst to bring art and designs to the next level and
go beyond limits of creativity.

The academic research and works of art shown during this event were selected by recognized experts and intellectuals all
across the country. We currently have over 150 works from researchers, artists, designers from Thailand and in 17 other countries.

This conference will provide the great opportunity to all attendees to share their knowledge, experiences, cultures and various
forms of artistic creations. This will create a favorable environment for new ideas and development of academic research in the future.

On behalf of the President of the conference, I would like to express my sincere thanks to our partners 4U PLUS that comprised
of these four universities, the organizing committee and our international partners representing many well-known institutions. Also, I

transferring knowledge and creative researches in various fields of fine arts to the public and to develop a sustainable social service and

The National Conference in Art, Culture, and Design and The 3rd International Arts and Designs Collaborative Exhibitions are

collaborative projects among 4 universities in the 4U Plus network to create a platform for disseminating research papers and creative
works. Arising from the academic services and research of lecturers, students, interested persons, and artists all over the world in art
and design.

This cooperation is the third joint event. Every year, there will be more works submitted to be published through all areas of
art. Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Dhurakij Pundit University, as a co-host, was delighted to see the sustainability of the project, wider
exchange ideas to share and to discuss theoretical and practical knowledge about art and design, to expand knowledge to help develop
the quality of art education for further progress.

The National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art, Culture & Design and the International Arts & Designs Collabo-
rative Exhibition is an annual collaboration among the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts – Burapha University, Faculty of Fine and Applied
Arts – Dhurakij Pundit University, Faculty of Fine Arts – Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, and Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts – Prince of
Songkla University, Pattani Campus.

The National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art, Culture & Design aims to pave the way for the exchange and
promotion of innovative pedagogical techniques and strategies, and supports the nationwide dissemination of academic researches and
creative works in the arts. By building a network of students and professionals for the purpose of academic exchange, mutual support,
and assistance to the research and other academic endeavors of member higher education institutions, the event aims to further advance
the frontiers of knowledge and academic excellence, and establish country-wide standards for the recognition of arts and culture. The
hope is for these institutions to produce quality graduates with academic excellence.

The event also serves as a platform for integrating, transferring, developing, and extending knowledge in arts, culture, and
creative design to a modern society to emphasize the importance of arts for national development and patrimony.

In its 3rd year, the National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art, Culture & Design will be hosted by the Faculty
of Fine and Applied Arts – Burapha University on May 21, 2021 at their campus in Chonburi. Individuals interested in submitting research
articles, creative articles, and creative works of arts and design are welcome to participate in various projects. As a co-host, the Faculty
