My family and I went to the beach for a family
day. The beach was far from our house. We went
to the beach to release the stress after exam
week. In the early morning, we left the house to
go to the beach. The journey takes two hours. We
enjoyed the view all the way to the beach. We
were on cloud nine and looking forward to
arriving at the beach.

After arriving there, my father began to remove the things
from the car. We arrived early at the chalet so, we need to wait
for half an hour to be able to check into the chalet. We spent
that time by walking along the beach while enjoying the gentle
breeze that greeted us. Then we were able to check in into the
chalet and my father put our belongings into it. After finishing
the activity of arranging things in the chalet, we started moving
to a nearby restaurant to fill our hungry stomach. We filled our
stomach with delicious seafoods. Once full, we went back to the
chalet to rest. After that, we showered and slept soundly due to
fatigue after a day in the car.

The next morning, we prepared to continue this
family day with the next activity which was a sand
castle building competition. My brother and I
formed a group for a sand castle building
competition while my sister and brother formed
another group. We built such an amazing sand castle
and we won the competition. Mother waited for us
under a shady tree while serving the foods that we
had brought from home. After getting tired of
building sand castles, my brother and I tasted the
food that my mother brought from home. We also
collected sea shells to make chains and made them as
souvenirs to my friends.

After the prayers of maghrib and isyak,
we started the barbecue activity as the
end of this family day. We prepare various
ingredients for the barbecue, such as
chicken, meat, sausages, and drinks. All my
family members ate with gusto, talking
about each other's experiences, because
they have not seen each other for a long
time. I eat a lot because the food is very
appetizing. After that tiring night, my
family and I slept soundly.

In the morning, my brother and I asked permission
from my father to swim at the beach. At first, my
father would not allow us to swim at the beach due
to concern for our safety. My father forbade us to
swim at the beach due to the strong waves on the
beach. We managed to persuade father to give us
permission to swim and father advised us to always
be careful while swimming at the beach. We started
swimming happily at the beach.

Suddenly, we were hit by a very strong wave causing us to
drown in the water. My brother did not know how to swim
causing his to drown in the beach. I was shaking like a leaf. I
ran to get my father to report about this incident. My
father ran while wearing a life jacket to save my brother
even though his life was in danger. The situation at that time
was very chaotic because we were worried about my
brother's safety.

A few minutes later, father rescued
my brother and took him to the
hospital to check his condition. My
brother and I regret not listening to
my father, and we promise not to
make this mistake again. The family
activity we dreamed of turned into
a nightmare in the blink of an eye.
This event made us aware of my
father’s love for us and we need to
always listen to my father.
