A huge welcome to those of you newly joining the Fashion & Technology program, and those of you
continuing in the program. While this fall won’t quite look like other semesters, we have been working
over the summer to re-plan and create amazing opportunities for learning online. We are so excited to
share with you what we have planned out!

As you proceed through the coming year, and engage in online learning this fall, remember that the
Fashion and Technology faculty team members are still around, and that you are still surrounded by
classmates. If you have questions, need to chat, or just want to say ‘hi’ please get in touch – we would
love to hear from you!

This colouring book was created with work from current students and alumni of the Fashion and
Technology program. We hope that you enjoy each and every page, and that you have fun adding your
own colours. As you work through this book, we hope you feel further connected to your classmates and
perhaps gain some inspiration as you continue your education.

It helps to increase enjoyment and connection to the project
Don’t be shy to ask your peers for help - save yourself the stress!

But reach out to classmates/friends as they also understand the pain

Set realistic & digestible goals

About Style Cards

Style cards are a crucial piece of visual and written information necessary to communicate key details to your
factory. It is part of a larger document known in the industry as a technical (TECH) or specification (SPEC)
package, which essentially explains details like how your garment should be sewn together, and how much
supplies are going to cost. Typically the style card provides the basic information necessary to “sum up” your
garment. Details like what fabrics and notions are needed and where they are located, and what stitches (and
machinery) are needed to construst your garment are all communicated through this document. A successful
Style Card should feature clear (and non-cluttered) diagrams and drawings, communicate details in a manner
that is clear to English and non or limited English speakers alike, and to be readable (and successfully commu-
nicating information) in black and white.
