ISSUE VII
Hello Homies,
I’m writing this while I am watching the Bachelorette, and I am
amazed at the drama that can take place among people in their mid 30s.
Last week a guy from Morgantown went home for bringing drama to the
table, and it turns out he was in the right. It was tough to watch Tyler C
leave, but I also hate Morgantown so it all evens out. This chick is really
kissing 24 guys a day. 1 female is occupying 24 men, and I am occupying 0
women. In my head I have got like 2/5ths of a woman, but even in my
head she cheats on me. Whore. Regardless, I am grateful for friends like
you guys. These 24 strangers are fake friends to each other and of course
let this woman get in-between them, because that is the name of the game.
The 12 of us have evolved past women, the pastime of cavemen, all the
way to fantasy football. I don’t have documentation, but I would say this
week set a record for amount of trades in a week. If Grant or Andre have
contracted Traids, then it is likely that we all have it by now. These boys are
the Kardashians of the fantasy league, because everyone is getting their
chance to f@#k them. Don’t let a trade get between you. To get a fair and
balanced view of the trades we have had so far this season, Stephen is
going to break them down in a column this week.
If I had to guess, I would say a team that is 6-8 will make the playoffs
this year. Right now the 6th and 7th seed are both 3-3, the problem is
Connor, Matt, and Jeffrey all have tough sledding ahead and winning four
of their next eight may not be a given. That being said, every team in the
playoffs could end up having a winning record. I am addressing this to
instill at least a little hope in your heart.
What chance do we have? The question is what choice? Run, hide, plead
for mercy? The time to fight is now. Rebellions are built on hope.
Love,
Thad Taylor Deputy Commissioner
DK AWARDS
KILLER KONG – Andre, despite being outscored
by Andy in DK points last week, is my pick for
Killer Kong this week. Andy had 28 DK points
while Andre had 27, but Andre won his matchup
and is the only person averaging 20+ DK points
per week. Sorry Andy. Congrats Andre.
KIRBY KONG – We have had people score 2
DK points this season, 1 DK point, and even 0
DK points, but week 6 is the first week that
somebody lost points from their DK
contributions. Thanks to -2 DK points, Matt is
now averaging the second lowest DK points
per week. Grant was the second lowest with 7
points, which isn’t great but isn’t so bad you
should kill yourself.
DIDDY KONG – Just as the Kirby kong award was
really a no-brainer, this award is just as simple to
give away. Despite a strong effort by Andy putting
up 27 DK points and still losing, the uglier win gets
this award. I hate giving Matt 2 awards when I am
pretty sure he doesn’t even read the newsletter,
but the man scored -2 DK points and still won his
matchup. His opponent had 19 more DK points!!!
He really won when he essentially had 6.5 players
to his opponents 9. I could give this award to Stephen for being that opponent,
but this feels like a pile on moment for Matt.
Grant’s Gambling Gazebo
Hello beautiful people. I hope when you read this it finds you doing well. We’re
getting to the point in the season where teams are beginning to separate themselves. I
also might be beginning to separate myself. Last week I went 9-5. Let’s hope I don’t
jinx myself, but I’m liking the board this week.
Season totals: 44-33 (57%)
Week 7 Picks
Giants (+5) vs Eagles
Another TNF loss for me. Eagles -5
Cowboys (+1) at Washington
This game is a dumpster fire, just like the rest of the NFC East. This is kind of a
dammed if you do, damned if you don’t game. I think the Cowboys are better???
They’re more talented on offense, but their defense is atrocious. I’m going to
take the Cowboys and hope for the best. Cowboys +1
Chiefs (-7.5) at Broncos
You can thank Covid for the Broncos win last week. Drew Locks’ stats were
abysmal. 10-24 and two picks. Still got the dub so I guess it didn’t matter, but
you have to wonder if he’s fully healthy coming back from his shoulder injury.
He can’t play like he did and keep pace with Mahomes. Chiefs -9.5
Lions (+2.5) at Falcons
I still think the Falcons are bad. They were in desperate need of a win last week
and happened to play another bad team in the Vikings. On the other hand, the
Lions might be good??? Maybe?? This game has all the makings of a shootout.
Lions +2.5
Browns (-3.5) at Bengals
Joe Burrow has covered every game ATS the spread so far in his NFL career.
The Browns beat the bad teams and get destroyed by the good teams. What’re
the Bengals? A bad team (sorry Ridge and Andy). Browns -3
Grant’s Gambling Gazebo
Steelers (+1.5) at Titans
I think this game should be the SNF game. This is the best game of the week.
Both of these teams are good, or at least appear to be. The Steelers have played
four bad teams, and one ok team (the Browns). The Titans have played for four
bad teams, and one good team (the Bills). This is a prove it game for both.
Titans -1.5
Panthers (+7) at Saints
This Panthers team is scrappy. I’m not a huge Teddy Two Gloves fan, but he
won’t be the reason we lose games. He also won’t be the reason we win them.
The Saints had a bye last week. Sean Payton has a 7-3 record coming off a bye
in his career. I’m riding with the numbers. Saints -7
Bills (-10.5) at Jets
It’s the Jets. Bills -10.5
Packers (-3.5) at Texans
This is a classic bounce back game for the Packers after getting trounced by the
Bucs last week. Deshaun is good, but the Texans aren’t. I trust Rodgers not to
lose two in a row. Packers -3.5
Buccaneers (-4) at Raiders
There is no line available for this game because of the Raiders Covid issues.
Because of this I’m picking the Bucs to win. Having your whole offensive line in
quarantine feels like it could be an issue. Bucs -4
49ers (+2.5) at Patriots
Maybe the Patriots actually stink, and that’s a real possibility. It just hard for me
to imagine the Patriots losing two straight games in Foxborough. Not practicing
for two weeks really showed. I’m banking on the fact they actually got to have a
full week of practice, and the amount of injuries the 49ers have. Both of their
starting safeties are out. Patriots -2.5
Grant’s Gambling Gazebo
Jaguars (+7.5) at Chargers
The Jags are turning into the team we thought they were all along. They just
aren’t good. I’m not sure how healthy their receivers are either. Justin Herbert
appears to be the real deal so far, as much as that pains me to say because of
Mike Wentz. The Chargers hang around in every game. I think they finally come
out on top and play well in this one. The bye week scares me because I don’t
know how they will come out, but the Jags are bad. Chargers -7.5
Seahawks (-3.5) at Cardinals
The Seahawks have to lose at some point. They should’ve lost to the Patriots
and Vikings, but somehow escaped. Their defense is up there with the Cowboys
for worst in the NFL, and you saw what the Cardinals did to the Cowboys last
week. The Cardinals are getting points at home in a prime-time game. I’m riding
with Kyler and Kliff to keep it close. Cardinals +3.5
Bears (+6) at Rams
This is a tough game for me. I still think the Bears are frauds, and I’m not sure
how good the Rams are. All their wins have come against the NFC East which
means they’re the best team in the NFC East. I think I have to take the points in
this one and hope for the best. Bears +6

The Homies seem to think this week is the right time to change it up. We have had 5
trades (at the time I’m writing this) before week 7. I am going to try to use different
resources to look at the trade from a statistical and impartial viewpoint. I will be using
some Trade Value Charts to calculate what others think. Each player gets a value, so I
will add the players values and compare the two sides.

It seems as if this trade was a bit more lopsided than fair. Tua seemed to win this
trade, but in Win-Now mode there are no time for BYE weeks.

This trade is about as fair as it can get. Cheesus needed a reliable TE and Thadi
needed another Pittsburgh WR? I think Cheesus wins this trade, but I wouldn’t say
Thadi lost it because Henry was never going to see the starting lineup, but I don’t
think JuJu will either.

Thadi slightly loses this trade but also loses the headache of when to start a Cardinal’s
RB and which one. Gaskin is a solid back and Tom Brady will fill a QB hole on the
team. Mos Eisley Han Shot First addressed the hole this week in his roster at RB.

It looks like Richard Sherman won this trade; he strengthens his WR room by
trading away bench players. Strong trade for him, but not too shabby for Alvin as he
gains a starting RB as he waits on Leveon Bell.
The Bottom Three
This segment has become the one that I look forward to the most. It is on this
page that I discuss the three teams that I deem the worst of the worst. Our
season is almost half way over, so we have a decent sized data base to take from
to look forward at how bad teams might be. There is a pretty big shakeup this
week. Here we go.
10th – Jeffrey (Tua Lucky Tua Be Good)
Putting a 4-2 team in the 10th slot is a pretty bold move, and honestly I didn’t
notice how lucky Jeffrey has been until this week. I couldn’t bring myself to put
Connor in here. I couldn’t sink Matt to here after a win. So for some reason I turn
to Jeffrey. He has the highest Luckiness rating, but the thing that caught my eye is
that he has scored the second fewest points in the league. Historically, things
tend to even out.
11th – Chip (Alvin and the still getting Fisted’os)
You live in a galaxy far away. There is a giant space station that can blow up
planets: the Death Star. Someone blows up this space station. You, being a board
member, decide to try and rebuild the Death Star that will cost billions of credits.
Can’t happen twice right? Wrong. This space station blows up as well. The name
of this second space station? Chip. Chip was 12-1 last year and tore through
everyone (except that -1 which was me). The little farmboy Ridge blew him up in
the playoffs though. Chip then tries to rebuild in the off-season, and before he
can even be complete, he is destroyed again. 1-5 through 6 games, Chip has
become a team people around the league are considering a BYE week. Why is
Chip not last? Because he has shown the capability to score big, even if it was just
once this season.
12th – Thad (Master Ki-Bad-As-Mundiy’s)
Qui-Gon-Gin once sad that there is always a bigger fish. The opposite must also
apply then. Because despite the roast I put on Chip, there is another even weaker.
One who has scored below the week average every week this season. ‘Tis me. I
have tried reshuffling my roster a bit so if it works maybe I can reshuffle my rank.
OTHERS: I’ve got my eyes on Stephen, Grant, and I won’t forget about Connor.
Notes From Contributors
Running Record: 23-13
Thanks to Kenyan Drake’s run during garbage time, Thadi-Mundi covered. My
other loss was Han Shot First suffering their first loss.
Let’s get into some trends.
Trends:
• 6/12 teams had a QB score 20 or more points those teams went 4-2 (Overall
23-21)

--- Stephen
What’s up everyone, I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe and healthy. I
went 5-1 last week with my only loss being picking Alec over Andre. My team also put
up a very strong losing effort with two or three of my best players on bye, so that was
pretty cool too. Will this be the start of something new? Does it feel so right to be
here with you? Only time will tell. Let’s get into this picks.
--- Chip
Random Prediction – UNC is going to obliterate NC State. That game is kicking off
as I write this, so by the time this goes out we’ll know if I was right.
Cam Loves C Kupps Alvin & The Nose Rings
RIVALRY
GRADE:
2-4 (7th Place) 1-5 (11th Place)
Breakdown: Chip is 3-0 vs Grant, and the games haven’t been close. Chip won
those games by 62, 40, and 60 points. This is one of the most unbalanced matchups
we have in the league. This year Grant is averaging 4 more points per game than Chip.
It isn’t technically a must win game for either of these teams, but the loser is going to
be in a bad place.
Alvin and The Nose Rings vs Cam on your TDs (-4.8)
Both these teams need a win and have traded other teams for pieces they think can
help. I think C Kupps gets it done this week while The Nose Rings struggle without
the Lamar / Tucker stack.
Pick: Cam on your TDs -4.8
Cam Loves C Kupps (2-4) v. Alvin and the Nose Rings(1-5)
ESPN Prediction – C Kupps (-16.7)
Grant changes his team’s name more than I change socks. That’s a bit of an
embellishment, but I need to take some sort of win this week because my team is not
beating Grant’s this week. No Lamar and J-Tuck is not good for me.
Winner – Cam Loves C Kupps
Ki-Thadi-Mundi Cheesus Christ
RIVALRY
GRADE:
2-4 (12th Place) 3-3 (8th Place)
Breakdown: Thad is 2-2 vs Andre all time, with one of those wins coming in the
playoffs. Of their three regular season games against eachother, Andre has outscored
Thad by 62 total points. Their closest matchup was decided by 21 points. Andre and
Thad are 2 of the 3 lowest scoring teams this year. Each team has scored under 90
points this season.
Master Ki-Thadi-Mundi vs Cheesus Christ (-3.1)
This is a Hunter Henry REVENGE game. Thad never started him and now starts
against him, look for him to have a good game. I am pretty sure I have never picked
Thadi in a game this year, and I have a decent record. That changes this week as
Thadi upsets Cheesus.
Pick: Master Ki-Thadi-Mundi +3.1
Master Ki-Thadi Mundi (2-4) v. Cheesus Christ (3-3)
ESPN Prediction – Cheesus Christ (-2.2)
I think Thad upgraded this week through trades, but the issue this week is his new
guys are on bye this week. Going forward I like Thad to improve, but I think Andre
wins this week.
Winner – Cheesus Christ
Richard Sherman Tua Good
RIVALRY
GRADE:
3-3 (5th Place) 4-2 (10th Place)
Breakdown: Jeffrey is 2-1 vs Connor in their three matchups, and he has outscored
him by 41 total points. Based on wins, with playoffs holding more weight, these are
the two worst teams of the past 2.5 years. Both teams have just 13 wins over the past
32 regular season games. Jeffrey has underscored his projections by an average of 8
points, and Connor has been exceeding his by 5 points per week. Both are fairly tame
numbers.
Tua Good Tua Be True vs Richard Sherman (~5.4)
Tua would love to get his star WR back, but he just can’t seem to get into a game.
Richard Sherman is on a tear right now, and he just upgraded his WR room, so why
pick against it?
Pick: Richard Sherman (~5.4)
CHIP’S GAME OF THE WEEK
Richard Sherman (3-3) v. Tua Good Tua Be True (4-2)
ESPN Prediction –RS (-27.1)
I think the winner of this game is probably one of the favorites going into the rest of
the season, which is why it is our game of the week. Connor’s team is incredibly solid
and I think Michael Thomas missing this week is going to heavily hinder Jeffrey’s
prospects of a victory this week. I’ll pick Connor despite stealing Mike Davis from
me.
Winner – Mos Eisley Han Shot First
Daddy’s Darlings Team Nolan
RIVALRY
GRADE:
2-4 (4th Place) 5-1 (3rd Place)
Breakdown: This matchup is currently listed at #7 on the rivalry list, but truth be
told it’s because I needed to find a rival for Nick. Nick is 2-1 vs Andy, which makes
him one of two teams with a winning record vs Andy in the regular season. Nick has
14 more points than Andy in their three matchups, which does make it one of the
closer matchups in the league. The interesting thing is that despite Nick being a thorn
in Andy’s side the past 2 years, they have never really been playing for the same prize,
but this year both teams have playoffs as a reasonable goal.
Team Nolan (~10) vs Daddy’s Darlings (IR)
This might be a lopsided game, comparing the RBs and Flex. Team Nolan is rolling
while The Darlings are having a rough first half of the season. I think Team Nolan
should be viewed as one of the top teams in the league and should easily win this
week.
Pick: Team Nolan (~10)
Daddy’s Darlings (2-4) v. Team Nolan (5-1)
ESPN Prediction – Team Nolan (-15.4)
Nick wouldn’t trade me Ronald Jones this week, which makes me want to pick against
him, but I’m not going to. Nick’s team is really damn good. And Andy started Corey
Clement at RB this week, which is somehow better than me starting Devonta
Freeman.
Winner – Team Nolan
Casual Khakis Ruffles Have Ridges
RIVALRY
GRADE:
2-4 (9th Place) 4-2 (2nd Place)
Breakdown: Ridge is 2-1 vs Stephen in three regular season matchups, and has
outscored him by 81 points in those three games. The matchup has been much closer
than that however. In their first game, Ridge won by a whopping 80 points, but since
then, their last 2 matchups have been decided by 10 points or less. Additionally,
outside of the last 2 years we do not have much data, but we do know that Stephen
defeated Ridge in the 2016 Championship game.
Ruffles Have Ridges vs Casual Khakis (-1.5)
The one week I absolutely love the Khakis matchups, Ruffles has the other side of the
ball in what seems like a shootout. I hate this matchup because Khakis seem destined
to lose to the red-hot Ruffles with the Matt Ryan/ Julio stack.
Pick: Ruffles Have Ridges +1.5
Casual Khakis (2-4) v. Ruffles Have Ridges (4-2)
ESPN Prediction – Casual Khakis (-1.4)
Ridge’s team put up a monster week last week thanks to his Falcons duo. Can he
replicate this week? I don’t think so but will it be enough to get the job done? I don’t
think so. Josh Jacobs is very good for Stephen and I think he wins this week in a close
one.
Winner – Casual Khakis
Han Shot First Hedgehogs
RIVALRY
GRADE:
5-1 (1st Place) 3-3 (6th Place)
Breakdown: Alec finished in last place last year, but that didn’t stop him
from beating Matt twice by 33 points each time. This does register as our
#6 rivalry, because both teams entered as expansion teams in 2019. Alec
has been tearing apart the league this year, averaging 134 points per week,
but Matt isn’t too far behind as he averages 127 ppg.
Mos Eisley Han Shot First vs Huntington Hedgehogs (-7.8)
Hedgehogs WRs are insane, and while the RBs are not great, they get the job done.
Han Shot First is coming off his first loss and just lit up the league with trade offers
just to fill the RB slots this week. I think this will be the second loss in two games,
and his RB situation is trending down along with the WRs.
Pick: Huntington Hedgehogs -7.8
Mos Eisley Han Shot First (5-1) v. Huntington Hedgehogs (3-3)
ESPN Prediction – Hedgehogs (-12.5)
Alec’s team has been hit hard the past few weeks with injuries. His team still looks
solid still, and I think I’m going to pick them just because I think Kyler is going to
torch Seattle’s secondary.
Winner – Mos Eisley Han Shot First
