PASTOR’S REPORT 2020

Shalom!
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and our Lord, Jesus Christ!

The year 2020 has been a very challenging year for me. I believe it was also challenging
for everyone else because no one expected this Covid-19 pandemic to take place. 2020 was indeed
a famous year as it was pre-planned to be the Vision 2020 or ‘Wawasan 2020’ as envisioned by
our former Prime Minister. This shows that we as humans can only plan things but it is God who
establishes them. God is always in control and nothing happens without His knowledge. This is
clearly stated in

Proverbs 16:9
“In their heart’s humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.”

Despite the struggles of not having in-person church services, I, by God’s grace managed
to conduct services and also managed to connect with my church members via many other
methods. Here, I would like to thank Mr. Jeffri for his time and commitment in assist ing me to
record my services and stream them online via Zoom, YouTube and Facebook.

I also had my weekly online devotions on YouTube. I believe our members were blessed
by hearing the Word of God. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Rev. Damodaran
for his willingness to help in Friday Devotions as well. There were no Sunday School and Junior
Work activities carried out due to the new normal. Youths met online occasionally, and the same
goes for all the other auxiliary ministries. In the future, all these ministries will be conducted
online.

As the church pastor, I am sad to announce that our Klang Jaya outreach can no longer take
place. After much discussion, the local council and I decided to stop paying the rental for the
building as we were financially burdened. As a substitution, I have decided together with local
council to start a ‘Skill Centre for Boys’ at the Holy Cross Church. We have many boys who are
involved in many illegal activities and are low academic achievers, so we need to do something
for them. I have always had a passion for souls especially the next generation. They are our future
leaders.

The year 2020 also caused many of our church members to lose their jobs and suffer
financially. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the good souls who have contributed
directly and indirectly in helping the poor and needy.

I am also impressed and touched because though it was a hard year for everyone,
members were still faithfully tithing and giving church funds. May God bless these wonderful
souls.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, it is mentioned in

2 Chronicles 7:14
“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my
face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their
sin and will heal their land.”

This is a very famous verse and we can hear many preachers preaching about this. I myself
have preached on this verse many times. During this pandemic, I personally witnessed many
members who were blessed because of their commitment and sincerity in searching for God and
worshipping Him. But, I also know some who are still back sliding and worshipping other gods.
These members are not faithful and still lack spiritual maturity.

I urge these members to change and commit themselves to God. We know who our
Almighty God is and that is Jesus Christ. God is gracious and merciful, but remember, we do not
know when our lives will end. So, while we’re still alive, let’s be grateful to Him and obey His
commandments. Attend church services; attend the Bible Studies and attend the Friday Prayer
Meetings.

Please pray for all the church members who do not attend church services. Though all
church programs are mainly online via Zoom, members continue to give excuses for not joining. I
sincerely hope that members will be more serious and commit themselves to attend all church
programs.

Let us Arise and Build (Nehemiah 2:18)

Thank you and may God bless you all!

In Christ,

Rev.GV.Sritharan
(Chairman)

WCCC REPORT 2020

PRAISE GOD FOR ALL THE LOVE AND CARE GIVEN TO US. I BRING GREETINGS
OF THE LORD.

Year 2020 has been a challenging year where many ministries faced unprecedented
times. Due to the covid19 pandemic, the Malaysian government impose restrictions
and conditions which has caused delays in WCCC activities. The activities of WCCC
had to be put on hold as we could not meet clients to maintain social distancing.
Nevertheless, counseling was conducted with clients through phone or video
conferencing. The renovation works of WCCC home has been completed except
there are some minor works to be completed.

Three families were given grocery supply for 2 months channeled via WCCC from
other church organizations.

Three women were counselled. One lady with three children was helped in getting
medications from GH KL with a supply of 6 months by courier service. The same
lady was given some cash for her school going child which was sponsored by a sister
in PJ. Another lady was helped in getting a place to do her business in Subang.

A mother of three children was assisted in getting a low-cost home in port Klang

Presently WCCC is looking for caretaker for the home. The WCCC home has started
operating effectively as of March 2021. Supervisors visit the home twice a week. All
programs will be conducted depending on the situation and government
regulations.

Thank You

DEC. ELIZABETH (SUPERVISOR)
