EDI Trading Partners: AS2 IP Address Migration 2016

AS2 COMMUNICATIONS SOFTWARE UPGRADE IN PROGRESS

PLEASE HAVE YOUR IT PROFESSIONAL OR EDI SERVICE PROVIDER REVIEW

As part of Walmart’s ongoing AS2 Communications software upgrade to allow for global growth of EDI, we will be
migrating to new IP addresses.

WHO WILL BE AFFECTED?

 All Trading Partners/EDI Service Providers currently communicating with Walmart who have
firewall rules in place restricting communications to a specific set of IP addresses and port
numbers

WHO WILL NOT BE AFFECTED?

 Trading Partners/EDI Service Providers who allow communication with all IP addresses
 Trading Partners/EDI Service Providers exchanging documents using WebEDI

TIME FRAME

We will begin sending test connections from our new IP addresses to ensure connectivity on February
15th, 2016. If we are unable to connect to you, we will inform you of the inability to connect from the new
IP addresses.
All Trading Partners/EDI Service Providers need to allow connections with the new IPs by April
30th, 2016.

REQUIRED TRADING PARTNER/EDI SERVICE PROVIDER STEPS

 Review current firewall rules in place for Walmart communications.

 If there are restrictions for specific IP addresses, please leave current firewall rules in place and
set up new firewall rules to communicate using the following IP address ranges. Using these
ranges is expected to support any future migration efforts.

 Please leave current firewall rules in place for 4 weeks after the migration is completed. The
migration date will be determined based on successful conversion and communication of new IP
addresses to all Trading Partners and Service Providers. The migration outage will be our normal
outage window on a Saturday between 4 PM to 8 PM Central Standard Time. Please watch for
migration date information under “What’s New” on Retail Link.

 Walmart will not be able to validate connections from Trading Partners/EDI Service Providers to
the new inbound IP addresses. This validation will need to be done by the Trading Partner/EDI
Service Provider.

NEW IP RANGES

161.165.0.0/16 (161.165.0.0 thru 161.165.255.255)
161.167.0.0/16 (161.167.0.0 thru 161.167.255.255)
161.168.0.0/16 (161.168.0.0 thru 161.168.255.255)

If there are security concerns using the above ranges, the Trading Partner/EDI Service Provider must at
least allow firewall connections for the IP addresses listed in the table s below. It is highly recommended
that suppliers send to the URL, http://gem.wal-mart.com:5080 or https://gem.wal-mart.com:5443, and not
to an individual IP address.
