B. RINGKASAN MATERI

Pengertian Greeting Card

Kartu ucapan atau Greeting card adalah teks singkat berupa pesan yang
terdiri dari doa dan harapan. Greeting card biasanya dikirimkan kepada
seseorang yang sedang merayakan sebuah acara atau sedang mengalami
suatu kejadian/peristiwa.

Contohnya, kalian dapat mengirimkan kartu ucapan kepada seseorang
yang sedang berulang tahun, menikah, lulus sekolah, memenangkan
kompetisi, sakit, maupun berduka.

Tujuan

Greeting card memiliki tujuan untuk memberi selamat, doa, harapan,
dan juga menunjukan simpati. Tujuan dari kartu ucapan ini bergantung
pada situasi penerima kartu tersebut. Seperti saat mengirimkan kartu
ucapan pada teman yang sedang merayakan hari natal, maka tujuannya
adalah untuk mengucapkan selamat.

Struktur Greeting Card
1. Bagian Penerima/Receiver

Kepada siapa kartu itu ditujukan, biasanya tercantum nama penerima
kartu ucapan tersebut.
2. Bagian Body - Di dalam bagian body ini ada beberapa konten, yaitu
sebagai berikut:
a. Quote: Kutipan atau harapan si pengirim yang berhubungan dengan

peristiwa atau hari spesial.
b. Picture: Ilustrasi gambar yang berhubungan dengan peristiwa atau

hari spesial.
c. Expression: Ucapan selamat (congratulation expressions) atau ucapan

simpati (Sympathy Expression)
3. Bagian Pengirim/Sender - Berisikan nama pengirim kartu ucapan.
Untuk lebih jelasnya kalian bisa melihat bagian-bagian greeting card pada
gambar di bawah ini:

Lihatlah disana lengkap ada penerima, kata ucapan selamat, quote,
pengirim dan juga lengkap dengan gambar latar belakang yang sesuai
dengan event/peristiwa yang terjadi. Tetapi kadang-kadang kartu
ucapan selamat ini hanya berisikan kata-kata saja berupa harapan dan
do'a.
