Verb to be มีหลกั การใช้ ดงั นี้
1. ถำ้ เป็นกริยำสำคญั ในประโยค มีควำมหมำยวำ่ เป็น อยู่ คือ

2. ถำ้ ประธำนเป็นเอกพจน์บุรุษที่ 1 ( ผพู้ ดู คนเดียว ) ซ่ึงไดแ้ ก่ I Verb to be ที่

ใช้ คือ am

*I am a student. * I am under the table.

3. ประธำนเป็นพหูพจน์ทุกบรุ ุษ ซ่ึงไดแ้ ก่ We You They หรือ ช่ือคนหลำยคน สัตวห์ ลำยตวั และ

ส่ิงของหลำยอนั ที่ถูกกล่ำวถึง Verb to be ท่ีใช้ คือ are เช่น

*We are nurses. *My father and I are in the room.

*They are policemen. *Suda and her friends are under the tree.

การสร้างประโยคท่มี ี Verb to be ให้เป็ นประโยคปฏเิ สธ มีวิธกี ารดงั นี้

เติม not ลงไปในตำแหน่งท่ีเรียงต่อจำก Verb to be หลงั is am are เช่น

*He is not in the room. *I am not a child.

*They are not teachers. *Suda is not reading.

หมายเหตุ รูปยอ่ ของ ปฏิเสธ Verb to be คือ

is not ยอ่ เป็น isn’t

am not จะไม่ใชร้ ูปยอ่

are not ยอ่ เป็น aren’t

การทาประโยคทีม่ ี Verb to be ให้เป็ นประโยคคาถาม Yes No Question มีหลกั การดังนี้
นำ Verb to be มำวำงหนำ้ ประโยค และเอำประธำนของประโยคมำวำงเรียงต่อจำก

Verb to be หลงั จบประโยค ตอ้ งใส่เคร่ืองหมำยคำถำม เช่น
