For You page Putting a creative spotlight on Spectrum’s very own The film begins with deceptively happy vintage background music that envelopes the staging, with inspiration taken from the likes of Wes Anderson. As we follow the character through the sequences, an eerieness takes over, and it escalates into a film heavy on psychedelic 'deepdream' and surreal imagery, created through the use of AI. The film ends with deep ringing, layered by an AI robotic voice that utters, 'This is a simulation. you are not real. Escape. Escape. Escape.' Short Film by Dk Nur Imanina

First off, Gartic Phone! You know? Gartic phone? That website you’ve probably used a few times during those awkward Discord Ice Breakings that your club organized back during covid because everyone had to stay inside… Anyways back to the main point where exactly is the creative bit here? Well, Gartic Phone is an entirely drawing-based game. One of the modes that people usually play with friends is the normal game mode drawing whatever prompt you receive. Other game modes in Gartic rely on not just your creativity but also your memory, comprehension, quick thinking, and ability to work in a team. This is why Gartic Phone was used so often during Team Building Exercises making it fun and interactive. (but if you have no friends there’s also a solo mode) I'm not sure about anyone else but my friends and I would always try to make the most impossible levels in Super Mario Maker, we would make elaborate levels that took us ages to complete equipped with booby-traps and the like. It was a great way to understand the workings of level making and how to make a level that's both engaging but not frustrating (unless that's what you're going for that is, which is what we were trying to do) As students who are not stressed with classwork and who definitely ( ) know how to manage their time between work and play, we have all sat down to play a game or two. But that’s not what you're here for, is it? You’re wondering what exactly does this have to do with the major ‘Design and Creative Industry’ well… We’re talking about how you can use these games as a tool to create, Let’s dive into the metaverse shall we? PPllaayy ttoo CCrreeaattee An age-old game that at some point in time you’ve either seen or played is Minecraft the game that has several updates and mob votes (at least the Armadillo won this year, stupid glow squid). It has 4 current game which are Normal, Adventure, Hardcore, and Creative. There have been many pixel artists born from this game and many architects as well. This game allows you to not only build friendships with the people of your server it also allows you to think creatively on how to use certain blocks to create dimension in an otherwise flat game. Google Arts and Culture themselves ever the trendsetter have created games concerning the art world. Amongst the many games that you can check out one that had a lot of people glitching was the game called What Came First, which will test your knowledge of painting and art movements and figure out which was older. Multiple games can be played one there and one of the more popular ones being 3D pottery where you are asked to replicate a piece of historic pottery art as best as possible. And last but certainly not least, the game that was in high demand during the Pandemic, the one, the only "Animal Crossing". It has got to be one of the more sought games during Covid time as it was an online multiplayer game that was able to connect you to anyone in the world (assuming you knew their island code) allowing you to create your character with its own features, allowing you to go ham on the decorations inside and outside your house. There have even been some people who have dedicated their time and effort to try and replicate their actual house in-game (to be honest who hasn't right?) Truly the world of gaming will constantly keep evolving (unfortunately that will eat my wallet and my storage but sacrifices have to be made). Many other games allow you to be creative that we didn't mention here. But do tell us, have you played any of these games? While everything so far is a very flat game or relatively low spec, let's talk about one of the higher specs which is The Sims, a world where you can change your in-game character, looking like a model or an extraterrestrial that should be kept in outer space and everything in between. It also allows you to create your own home with a lot of added features. It truly allows you to do anything. Do you want a 50ft pool in the middle of your living room? Sure! A room with 789015 rooms and only 1 bathroom? Heck yea! (You didn't see the letter I hid in the amount of room numbers did you? Made you look). With that, you can create unique stories and outcomes for your characters (though I'm sure no one can actually understand them ingame) AAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE! A D-D-DEADLINEEEEEEEEEE! SI LAPIK

What is that one equipment that you can’t live without as an artist? For someone who does 3D printing, I'd say my laptop. There is a lot of design that can be done using different software especially when you use 3D printers and laser cutters, it's sort of a necessity. What would you like the world to know about you? I'm pretty introverted and private, so is nothing a valid answer hahahahaha UNVEIL THE Designed by Apandi Razak LOVES TEA! A LOT OF TEAS 3D ARTIST UNVEIL 2024 Zafirah Suffian @print3dco Photo.jpg What is a quote that inspired you? “All in good time.” I'm a pretty laid back person so I 謯Ƽ¯èĵàÛí¯èœĈèè¯Æ§

Photo.jpg An overview of your 3D printing services and the types of projects you typically work on? I mostly sell keychains, but I do experiment with jewelry once in a while, just for fun. Other than that I also like to print little models. I'm hoping to sell acrylic and wooden items from laser cutting next year as I'm on a hiatus since I'm quite busy with my DY. It will reopen when I head back to uni! How did you end up in the 3D printing Ĉœ¿˜IJ,Íù˜¯˜ÿÍí§œèàè„Ü蜘IJ It was during COVID, and my dad had been wanting to teach me how to do 3D printing for quite a while but we didn't really have the time to sit down and do it. So during lockdown when ùœùœÜœ¦Íܒœ˜èÍàè„ÿ„è¬ÍŜ/ĈƄ¿ń ly had time to learn how to do it. Which of your works so far that have a special meaning to you? Why? I think it would have to be the coaster ͦ Åÿ øœÜÿ ĈÜàè ¿Í§Íī /ĵøœ „¿Üœ„˜ÿ changed the logo since then. But this is one of the earliest things that I've made that I've actually kept. Do you believe that your work has impacted the masses the way you intended? I think I was able to give affordable services to people who wanted to look for something custom-made, especially for gifts. They would only pay a small amount for me to design the 3D model and also printing/putting the keychain together. LOADING! Who has been your source of inspiration throughout the creations of your works? Well my dad inspired me to start 3D ÙܯÆè¯Æ§ī „Ƙ / ĈƘ „ ¿Íè ͦ ¯Æàٯ܄è¯ÍÆ from.. pinterest? Hahaha, I look for things that I think are possible to 3d Print then have a go at doing it. In what ways do you incorporate creativity into your 3D printing projects? I guess when clients want something they have visualized to become a reality I have to use my creativity in order to make their visions happen, this includes thinking of how to best execute each and every project because each project is different and requires some trial and error. How do you stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in 3D printing technology and materials? DÍàè¿ÿ謜¯ÆèœÜƜèī/ĵÅ„¿àÍÆÍè¯Ĉœ˜ͦ the newest products in Brunei through @tigadlabbrunei's Instagram, and then there's also my dad to tell me as he's „¿àÍÛí¯èœ¯ÆèœÜœà蜘¯Æ謜Ĉœ¿˜ı FAVE STUFF What challenges do you face in the 3D printing industry, and how do you overcome them? There's a lot of trial and error when it comes to printing. Let's just say I experimented a lot before I started posting what I made, each 3D printer needs to be calibrated and there was a lot of trial and error on which 3D printer settings worked best for different materials. I did a lot of research when I started off, and I still do sometimes, I'd look for tips on Youtube hehe, the internet is your oyster!
