MyFundAction is a non-profit organization runs by
Youth that embraces love and passion through
volunteerism and entrepreneurship. MyFundAction
was previously known as Yayasan Dana Kebajikan
Muslim Malaysia (YDKMM). MyFundAction is
registered and one of very active NGOs funded
entirely through the business and voluntary support
of millions of people worldwide and our partners in
government, civil society, and the private sector.
Voluntary and business contributions enable
MyFundAction to help alleviate the burden of low-
income groups, underprivileged and senior citizens.
They also strive to improve people's quality of life
and serve as a catalyst for the needy to move
forward and change a better standard of living to
return those benefits to other communities in
greater need. MyFundAction is focusing on youth
development in 4 segments :

1. Food
2. Education
3. Entrepreneurship

They have 2000 committed members
through their groups. 90% of their
members and the volunteers consist of
youth, and they believe that could
empower the society and economy
surrounding them from youth
development projects.

With the tagline “For The Best Future”,
they aim to be the best platform to
develop the new world of leadership
among the youth. They are currently
operating globally in five different
countries, including the headquarter in
Malaysia and branches in New Zealand,
Egypt, Indonesia, the African continent,
and Japan.

A man who works in a restaurant is quite famous by the title of
"bird’s hero". Every evening he always feeds the birds around his
work area. When many people asked why he often acted in such
that way, he said "I am happy to be able to share foods with the
animals, and only expect good things will happen to me in return
and make me feel happy”. He has a good heart and always feel
sympathy to creatures all around him.

Feeding street animals is no stranger to society. Some people
are amused to feed street animals but not for people who have a
humanity. They feel very sad with the fate of street animals that
do not know where to find food on their own. There’re also have
the people who are willing to bring these animals to vetarinar and
make them as their pets at home. This attitude must be
encouraged to all people.

AGATHIANS SHELTER

RALEIGH INTERNATIONAL-INDIGENOUS SCHOOLS Can y o u i m a g i n e l i f e w i t h o u t

basic, human needs such as shelter,
food and education? Unfortunately,
this is the case for many in
Malaysia. And that is the very
reason why Agathians Shelter
exists. In this orphanage home, they
provide their children with these
needs and catch them up with the
education from missed years of
schooling. Agathians Shelter was
founded by Mr. Siva Balan in an
attempt to rescue 8 boys from an
illegal orphanage that closed down
in 2003.Currently, they have 40
boys ranging between 5-20 years
old, and help is always needed. As a
volunteer here, you can either teach
(English, mathematics, science, &
Bahasa Malaysia), fundraise, or if
you are a doctor, fulfil their
medical needs!

Indigenous c o m m u n i t i e s i n
Costa Rica are amongst the most
marginalised members of society.
Children living in these territories have
little access to decent school facilities
and as a result their level of education is
much lower than the national average. We
work alongside the communities in the
Alto Chirripó indigenous lands to build
and refurbish schools. We improve the
knowledge and skills among school
committees of parents and teachers for
appropriate management and maintenance
of the school infrastructure. Young
people facilitate discussions with the
community to understand the barriers to
quality education and promote school
attendance. Over the past 20 years, we
have worked with indigenous communities
to build over 100 school infrastructures,
enabling over 2220 children to enjoy
education in a sheltered, safe
environment.

store chain Elewsmart,that sell groceries and
foods with the cheapest and impossible price

Cornato.Most importantly,he has the masses
supporting him on all of his business ventures.

At times acts of charity seem impractical because,
after all, everyone has their own mouths to feed not
only for themselves but for the family too and bills to
pay, and every single sen counts. It can seem like it's
every man for himself with Malaysians struggling to
get by during these hard economic times. Lower-
income households have been the hardest hit
financially by the pandemic and finding a lifeline can
sometimes seem like a miracle. One person appears in
the right time likes superman. He is one of them who
involve in charity programs and non-stop lend a hand
to help poor people, beggar, and the homeless. He is a
Chinese person and helps all people without care
about their background. He is Kuan Chee Heng and his
nickname Uncle Kentang. He gets the unique
nickname because he always brought a packet of
potatoes. He is our folk hero and champion of the poor
in Malaysia. What he did for community work will viral
on media social because he has done extraordinary
things to help a needy person. Uncle Kentang will do
anything for the needy because he from a poor family,
the rubber tapper family and he understands the value
of poverty, especially in this era.

He has his own vision and target, and he has decided
to dedicate the rest of his life to helping the needy. The
charity work Uncle Kentang did is set up a taxi service
that charged only 10 sen to take the sick to medical
facilities and back home. He opens that service for
poor people who need to go to the hospital and
medical check-ups. He also gives some groceries for
the needy because he was unable to see a lot of people
not being able to eat. Besides that, he has organized
many community events, even opening a market
earlier this year that sold everything and anything for
10 sen. Not only that, he author and published own his
book, and that book he writes about the experience of
his life and gives motivation to the teenager for this
era. He believes that Malaysians are caring people but
sometimes lack the organization to do anything
meaningful. This includes young Malaysians who need
guidance on what they can do and how they can help.

He said “A better Malaysian. One that is more united
and more caring. Start even that is a small thing and
just give a smile to brighten someone’s day.”That is a
simple piece of advice and so meaningful for those
who want to help their fellow Malaysians. Even the
smallest act of kindness will eventually motivate
people to do bigger things. That advice from heart
Uncle Kentang and so touching to our heart. You are
our folk hero. We love you more what you did and
sacrifice for the needy.
