Powderhorn Mountain Resort is nestled on the edge of the Grand Mesa, the world’s largest
flat-topped mountain, just 35 miles from Grand Junction, Colorado. Powderhorn’s unique
location provides exceptional views of the surrounding Western Colorado valleys, cliffs,
mesas, and canyons. Powderhorn is best known for hassle-free days, a family-oriented
atmosphere, and some of the best tree skiing in North America.
With the recent installation of a new high-speed detachable quad chairlift,the Flat Top Flyer,
skiers and snowboarders can enjoy easy access to 1,600 acres of terrain that benefits from
250 inches of average annual snowfall. You won’t spend your day waiting in long lift lines at
Powderhorn and powder stashes can be found many days after a storm. Powderhorn boasts
600 acres of high-quality groomed terrain as well as challenging moguls, glades, and
hidden boulder fields.
Guests can visit the Sunset Grill or the Powderhorn Pub for dining options and stay at the
Slopeside Inn or Goldenwoods Condominiums located just steps away from the base area.
Visitors enjoy Powderhorn’s variety of terrain, centrally-located base area,
professional Ski and Ride Center, and newly equipped rental facility. Guests can also visit
Colorado’s breathtaking Wine Country which boasts 22 year-round wineries. The
surrounding area has a variety of golf courses and legendary bike trails
offering plenty of adventure for your vacation.

The Slopeside Inn is Powderhorn’s only ski in/ski
out lodging conveniently located less than 50 feet
away from the chairlift. The Inn offers 16 slope-side
suites with accommodating amenities.

Ski Patrol Ski Along
The Ski-Patrol-Ski-Along gives customers the opportunity to ride along with
Powderhorn’s certified, professional Ski Patrollers and learn some of the tools of the
trade. Topics covered in the Ski-Along include a mountain tour, transporting & caring
for customers, and mountain & snow safety.
Powderhorn has developed this program to serve as a local’s guide to educate guests
of all ages about the role of Ski Patrol, their importance at the resort, and offer some
insight for those interested in working in the ski industry.

Snowmobile Tours
Untracked and beautiful trails on the Grand Mesa make it a well-known destination
for snowmobiling. Tour opportunities cover nearly 200 miles of trails, and stop at some
of the best vistas. From the Land O' Lakes Overlook,you can see a beautiful panoramic
view that arcs from Aspen past Crested Butte,Lake City, Ouray, and Telluride into Utah.
From Crater View, you can see Powderhorn, the West Bench Trail that skirts the Me-
sa's north rim, Chalk Mountain, and the Grand River Valley. Snowmobile rentals are
available throughout the winter season, so bring the whole family to the Grand Mesa
for multi-day exploration.

Powderhorn Bike Park
The Powderhorn Bike Park made its debut Summer, 2016 after the installation of the
Flat Top Flyer, a new high-speed detachable quad chairlift. The Powderhorn Bike Park
was built to compliment the natural terrain of the mountain and create an exhilarating
experience for customers. Powderhorn's bike park offers multiple trails that can chal-
lenge the most experienced riders or provide easy terrain for those new to the sport of
downhill mountain biking. Lessons and rentals are available throughout the mountain
biking season.
