ABOUT THE SCHOOL

An academic institute should stand for
dreams, building of character & skills, and
defining a person’s life. At Jaipuria, we
understand that the years that a student
spends with us would ‘shape or break’ that
individual, so there is great power and
greater responsibility in the hands of the
school. The purpose of Seth M. R. Jaipuria
School, Kursi Road is to prepare a new
generation of responsible social leaders that
will help the world at large, be proactive to
meet the global challenges of the 21st
century and surpass beyond the realms of
the ordinary. The entire value system of the
school is driven around innovation, creativity
and entrepreneurship. The underlying
context is always that there should be the
desire for excellence, zeal to go beyond the
regular, and provide for growth and
3 development of individuals and societies in
the coming future.

Mrs.Harpreet Rekhi is our honorable
Principal. She has more than 18 years
of work experience in different
capacities in reputed schools. She is a
Visionary academician and dynamic
leader. She has always emphasized
on taking teaching and learning
beyond classroom and encouraged
creativity, collaboration and critical
thinking among students.

OUR HONORABLE PRINCIPAL

FROM PRINCIPAL’S
DESK

I truly believe that goals in life once carefully chosen play a pivotal role in our lives and
though we may have to alter or change our path sometimes, our Goal must remain a constant guiding
force for all our actions to achieve fulfilment and success in our lives. Our school vision is much more
than a few words of vague intentions, it characterises Jaipuria to the rest of the world. It is important to
articulate this vision and make it clear to all the stakeholders- teachers, students, parents and the
community at large. It helps us articulate our shared beliefs and develop a common language. It's time
we embrace ourselves and get ready to see ourselves in the new light. New does not mean we forget
the old but in an increasingly interconnected world, we need to prepare the next generation of students
to be global leaders. Now along with academic finesse, we will help them to adorn the worldly layers of
eloquent speech, gender equality, cultural sensitivity, action-based compassion and resilience. We must
encourage students to take empathy and transform it into action-based compassion. Students can start
community initiatives they are passionate about or get involved in local organizations that create change.
When students become global leaders and have an appreciation for cultural differences, they see
themselves as citizens of the world and take responsibility to enact change on a global scale. To give
voice to such thoughts I am thrilled to present before you our monthly magazine- ‘ Le Pionnier’ featuring
student life, initiatives, achievements and expressions. This magazine will serve as a platform where
students will be celebrated in different colours of academics, sports and creativity. The hope is that the
magazine will house inspiring stories, motivating achievements and fascinating creativity that will allow
our students to shine the brightest. I congratulate the 'School Editorial team' for their relentless effort to
bring into life this wonderful piece of work that will surely be an integral part of our school culture.

Mrs. Sanchita Srivastava is our honorable
Head Mistress. She has more than 16
years of work experience in different
capacities in reputed schools. She
inspires the students to strive for
excellence and realize their full potential
with a positive outlook towards life.

Our Honorable Head Mistress

30 Ayush yadav 8th A

It was late at night. I, with my friends Ansh & Deepak were coming back from a birthday party. Since it
was a long way back home, we decided to go through a shorter route. But it was dangerous as that road
went through a forest. We entered the forest full of fear. Some minutes went by, and then we saw a black
van with some shady men staring at us. We didn’t think of it much and went on with our way. After some
time, we started to feel like we were being chased. We looked back and saw the black van after us!
“Wait! Why are they chasing us?” said Ansh.
“I don’t know, but something doesn’t feel right…” I said.

“Hey! Where do you think you’re going?” shouted the men in the van. They suddenly hit their van with
our bike and we fell over. We immediately got up and started running as fast as we could, but still
weren’t able to outrun them. Suddenly, the van came beside us and the man sitting on the passenger’s
seat rolled down his window. He took out his arm and grabbed Deepak by the back of his shirt. “Ansh!”
shouted on me and Deepak. We ran after the van but couldn’t keep up with them. The van suddenly
stopped and the man dropped Ansh from his hands. We fell down panting heavily and saw Deepak
laying there unconscious. We got up and tried to go towards Ansh when suddenly, one of the men came
out from the van with a bat in his hands. We were so tired and from all that running, we couldn’t run
anymore. The man hit us in the head with the bat and we fainted right there.

When I woke up, I found myself in an abandoned factory. I could hear Ansh shouting. I saw that a guy
was mercilessly beating Ansh. Beside me, I saw Deepak laying unconscious. “Deepak! Wake up!
Deepak!” I exclaimed. He finally woke up. We both were badly injured. “That guy is beating Ansh, we
need to save him!” I said. Very carefully, we snuck up on the guy and pushed him from behind. We
im31mediately rushed towards Ansh and untied him. I carried him on my back and rushed outside.

When we came out, we saw a car. We decided to hide inside it but as soon as we started rushing
towards it, those guys started shooting from the back! “Look out Deepak!” I exclaimed. Luckily, I
got myself and Ansh safely inside the car. But as soon as I turned around, I saw that Deepak had
fallen over because he was shot! I rushed towards him. “ Don’t worry friend, you’ll be fine.” I said
with a trembling voice. I carried him inside the car and went away looking for help. Unfortunately,
there was no one around. I came back and to my surprise, the car wasn’t there! I saw those men
trying to drive the car into the river! I tried to run after them but, I was immensely weak. I couldn’t
walk anymore and I fainted right there. “ I’m sorry guys…I couldn’t save you. I’m really sorry…” I
said to myself as my eyes closed with heaviness.

“Hey kid! Wake up! Hey! What happened?” I woke up when the sun was on my head and someone
patting my shoulder. It was a postman who had found me laying in the bushes. “Are you okay? Who
did this to you?” he asked me. I was still in shock from the last night incident that I couldn’t answer
anything. He asked me. “Okay…well if you want to go to the main road, take the first left from here
and then take the second right. After that, you can find your way to home.” he gave me the
directions and left.

Badly injured, I finally reached home. “Mom? Dad?” I shouted as I couldn’t see them anywhere. I
went upstairs to look for them, and there they were. Laying dead on the floor covered in blood.
“Why? What did I ever do!” I fell down on my knees and started wailing. I saw a note stuck on the
door, which states, “You thought you got away? Not so fast…you’re our next target” I gave up. “ I
have nothing left in this hellish world…” I said to myself. I decided to run away from the city, and
never return.
