was founded on 5 February, 1960 by

and was appointed the Primeminister’s Assistant on
culture and education in 2004. In the period from
1998 to 2005, PFUR was headed by professor Dmitry
Petrovich Bilibin, a 1966 graduate of PFU named after

and was elected Rector of the University in 2004. V.M.
