Viking Value
Do your clients find that holidays always seem to end up costing more than they envisaged? Not so with Viking. Everything they need for a fabulous trip - plus extra treats
- is included in the price of its river cruises. They can relax and enjoy the journey and its multiple experiences without worrying about the bill at the end of their voyage. Here’s why Viking’s cruises are widely regarded as such good value.
Flights
Viking river cruise prices are inclusive of return flights from the UK. In many
cases, your clients can fly from selected regional airports at no extra cost. Viking representatives will meet them and take them to the ship, with their luggage delivered to their stateroom. Hosted transfers to the return airport are also included.
Full-board dining with drinks
Our guests enjoy carefully prepared breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks every day on their cruise. Wine, beer and soft drinks are served with Viking’s compliments with lunch and dinner, so they can have a chilled beer with lunch and a couple of glasses of red or white with dinner at no extra cost. Viking likes to bring on board the destinations in which they are travelling, so expect to find regional dishes on the menus as well as innovative recipes and favourites such as steak and salmon. Free tea and coffee are always available.
excursions & experiences
Viking ships will usually dock at least once every day for guests to explore ashore through a varied programme of included expert guided excursions. As well as visits to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, your clients can look forward to exclusive and insightful experiences, including home-hosted visits and cultural performances. A carefully chosen selection of optional trips is also available, such as notable wine tastings or a classical concert in a stunning venue.
entertainment & enrichment
Throughout their cruise, they can expect a varied range of on-board experiences. Each evening, a pianist will play in the lounge, with some guests taking the opportunity to dance, and sometimes folklore or classical musicians from the riverside towns will step aboard to entertain the guests. Lectures on the history or social affairs of the regions will enhance their own discoveries and they’ll also enjoy culinary experiences while sailing, such as tasting local wines or a regional dish.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is always available free of charge on a Viking ship. Each ship also has at least one computer terminal for their use (connection speed may vary).
Gratuities
From 2019 Viking has taken away any doubts around tipping by paying onboard gratuities on your clients’ behalf.
Your carefree cruise
As well as the long list of inclusions, Viking has got the formula just right for a cruise that is both enjoyable and rewarding. Your clients can choose to be sociable or
find one of the delightful alcoves for a quiet read. There’s no need to pack formal clothing as the dress code is smart-casual. Perhaps most important of all, the amiable Viking staff take pride in ensuring that the holiday
is memorable through their exceptional service.

maya Bay closed
to visitors
Thailand’s Maya Bay, on the island of Phi Phi Leh and made famous by the film, The Beach starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is to remain closed until 2021.
Up to 5,000 visitors were travelling by boat from Phuket or Koh Phi Phi to visit the island every day and as a result,
most of its coral has died. The Bay was temporarily closed in 2018 and this has now been extended until 2021 to give its ecosystem time to recover.
When the beach reopens, it is likely that the number of visitors will be restricted and boats banned from mooring in the bay.
take a drink and enjoy the view
For visitors who want to take in the views of the city of Hong Kong, there are a number of bars which take full advantage of the city’s spectacular skylines.
At Aqua, in Kowloon, its entire harbour-facing side is made up
of floor-to-ceiling windows to showcase the stunning skyline.
Cé La Vi, a deckhouse-like rooftop bar in Central, offers 360-degree views of the city, including the Bank of China Tower, Central Plaza and in the distance, the ICC, Hong Kong’s tallest building.
However, the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong tops them all, with its rooftop bar Ozone, which features one of the highest bars in the world at 118 floors.
Outside on its terrace, you will feel as if your head is in the clouds and floor-to-ceiling windows means you get to see the fantastic views below.
