Chapters 1-8
In chapters 1-8 of Tuck Everlasting, it describes how Winnie Foster meets the
Tucks.In the beginning of the book, Winnie lives in an overprotective house in the
village of Treegap with her parents and grandmother.Their house is on the edge of
the woods they own but never go into.Meanwhile, Mae is getting excited to see their
sons whom they have not seen in ten years. Mae is heading off to meet them, but
they say that she has to be careful not to be seen. She does not look in the mirror
before she goes because it says she has looked the same for the past 87 years. May
takes along her music box as she goes off to meet her sons, Jessie and Miles, whom
she has not ment in ten years. Then, Winnie has a conversation with a toad. She
talks about how hard her life is and she decides to run away.Next is, That night
Winnie heads out to her yard and meets a stranger walking by who asks her about
the woods and the people she knows in the area. He tells her that he is looking for a
family. Winnie’s grandmother comes out to tell Winnie to go inside. Just then some
music is heard in the woods. The grandmother says it is the elf music she hasn’t
heard in years. Winnie thinks it sounds like a music box and the stranger is very
interested in it.Then, Winnie runs away in into the woods and meets and meets a
cute boy named Jesse who is drinking from a spring. Winnie wants to take a drink
but Jessie said she shouldn’t.Next, Mae and Miles arrive at the spring and take
Winnie off in order to keep her from drinking the water. Also, The Tucks tell Winnie
their story of drinking from the spring and never aging again.Lastly, Winnie willingly
goes with the Tucks back to their house. They are not aware that the stranger is also
watching.

Chapters 9-17
In chapters 9-17 of Tuck Everlasting, it describes why
winnie should not tell anyone about the water. First when
Winnie got to the Tucks house and Tuck had smiled at
winnie which was unusual. Then when Winnie was inside
at the Tucks house it was unusual for her. Also when
Winnie was eating with the Tucks it was unusual for her.
Then after dinner Tuck tock winnie on a boat ride.Then
the stranger gave the location of Winnie.Then Jessie
made a proposition winnie Foster. Then in order for the
stranger to tell the Fosters Winnie locashon he wanted
some of their wood.Also as the stranger rides over to
winnies location with the constable and they started

What does the reader learn from the epilogue in this novel? Do
you think the epilogue was necessary? The reader learns in the
epilogue that a long time later the tree gap was struck by
lightning and then burned down the whow tree gap. Also then
they learns that Winnie Foster died 2 years ago. I think that the
epilogue is necessary because it tells you what happened so
many years later and what happened to Winnie.

Chapters 18-25
In chapters 18-25 it is about how the man in the
yellow suit is going to sell the water and how it
backfired on him and then later on how Mae goes
to prison and then how she gets out. First the
family once again had flapjacks for breakfast.
Then the stranger wants to sell the water for a lot
of money. Also the constable doesn't believe Mae
because she swung the shotgun right at the
strangers head. After that the stranger dieds.
Then Jessie gave Winnie a little bottle of the
water as a present. Then Winnie go on pondering
