42 | P a g e 7F On the Draw tools, select Boundary Line (LI) > Line. 7G Draw the boundaries of the floor as shown in the above figure. Use a rectangle to exclude the toilet area. Make sure that all the lines drawn are closed loops. Click Finish mode.

Click OK. Click Edit... (Row Structure in Parameter Construction) Insert > Structure [1] > Material > Damp-proofing, as shown in the figure above.

47 | P a g e 7.4 Apron 7P Draw Apron. As shown in step 7B, click Edit Type if the required floor is not in the list. For example, on the Type Selector, select Generic Floor - 400mm > Edit Type. Select Duplicate and name your floor. For example, Apron. Click OK Click Edit... (in the row Structure, under the column Parameter). 7Q At Structure (1), under the column of Thickness, enter the value of thickness you need. Say; 150mm. Then, click OK. Click Apply and then OK on Type Properties.


48 | P a g e 7R Set the required apron width by using Offset. Say, 1000 mm. Check the box Extend into Wall (to core). On Height Offset From Level, set the drop required for the apron. For example, - 150 mm. Draw an apron along the external wall.


49 | P a g e CHAPTER 8 WINDOW 8.1 Select Window 8A Go to the Project Browser select Floor Plans > Ground Floor. Select Window from the Architecture tab. In the Type Selector, select the required window type.

In the Type Selector, select the required column type. 10B If the required column type is not in the list, please add it by clicking Edit type. Select Duplicate and name your Column. For example, 250mmx 250mm. Click OK.


54 | P a g e 10C At the Dimension > b, under the column of Parameter, enter the value of column size you need. Say; 250mm. Then, click OK. 10D Set Constraints and place your column as highlighted above.

56 | P a g e CHAPTER 11 ROOF 11.1 Create Roof 11A Go to the Project Browser select Floor Plans > First Floor. Select Roof > Roof by Footprint from the Architecture tab. In the Type Selector, select the required column type. 11C Modify > Draw Boundary Line > Rectangle. 11B In the Type Selector, select the required Roof type. Set Constraints as shown in the figure.


57 | P a g e 11D Draw the roof footprint as shown. Click the line and untick Define Roof Slope EXCEPT for the highlighted line (red rectangle). 11E Click the line, tick Defines Roof Slope and set Dimensions > Slope at 5 degrees. Click Finish Mode.


58 | P a g e 11F Set Constraints as shown in the figure and rep steps 11B – 11E for the above grid. 11G Go to the Project Browser select Floor Plans > First Floor. Select Roof > Roof by Footprint from the Architecture tab. Set Constraints as shown in the figure. Modify > Draw Boundary Line > Line to draw footprint. Click Finish Mode


59 | P a g e 11.2 Attach Top / Base 11H Open 3D View. Select the wall, click Attach Top / Base and then click the roof. Repeat the process until all the walls are attached to the roof.


60 | P a g e 11J Open 3D View. Select the column, click Attach Top / Base, and then click the roof. Repeat the process until all the columns are attached to the roof. 11K This is how the completed roof will look like.

62 | P a g e CHAPTER 12 STAIRCASE & RAILING 12.1 Staircase 12A Go to the project browser. Select Floor Plans > Ground Floor 12B Go to the Architecture tab > Circulation > Stair.


63 | P a g e 12C Select Run. Place the stairs from the ground floor to the top. Adjust as necessary. Click Finish mode.


64 | P a g e 12.2 Create Opening 12D d Go to the project browser. Select Floor Plans > First Floor. At the Properties Palette, go to Extents > View Range. Set as figure above to view the staircase at the lower level.


65 | P a g e 12E Go to Architecture. Select Opening > Shaft. At the Properties Palette, set Constraints as shown in the figure. 12F Modify > Draw Boundary Line > Rectangle. Click Finish mode.

67 | P a g e 12.3 Railing 12H Go to the project browser. Select Floor Plans > First Floor Go to the Architecture tab > Circulation > Railing > Sketch Path 12J Set Constraints as shown in the figure. Modify > Draw Boundary Line > Line to sketch railing at the gridlines. Click Finish Mode.
