The Ottawa Recreation Commission coordinates programs and activities for all ages and ability levels.
Information on our programs for the 2020 - 2021 school year can be found in this guide.
The ORC manages the Goppert Building, Orlis Cox Sports Complex, Lincoln Elementary Soccer Fields,
and the Forest Park Swimming Pool and ball fields. Dates & times in this guide are subject to change.

Goppert Building

The Goppert Building is a 25,000 sq. ft. building located at 705 W. 15th St. in Ottawa, Kansas. The recreation center is
home to an indoor basketball court and walking track as well as a classroom and fitness facility. The Goppert Building
houses the ORC administrative staff and offices. Full rental information can be found on our website.

Orlis Cox Sports Complex, Forest Park Ball Fields

The Orlis Cox Sports Complex, located at 901 W, 2nd St. in Ottawa, is a City of
Ottawa facility managed by the ORC. The facility offers a variety of amenities
including 11 ball diamonds, 2 concession stands, and a playground. ORC also
operates the two ball fields at Forest Park, located at 400 N. Locust in Ottawa. Full
rental information can be found on our website.

Forest Park Swimming Pool

The Forest Park Swimming Pool, located at 310 N. Locust in Ottawa, is a City of
Ottawa facility managed by the ORC. This 475,000 gallon swimming pool features
diving boards, a zero depth entry, baby pools, and water slides as well as a bath
house.

Lincoln Elementary Soccer

The Lincoln Elementary Soccer Fields, located at 1102 Milner St in Ottawa, is
owned by USD 290 and is maintained by the ORC. This facility offers an open
green space used by the ORC for its youth soccer program.
