It’s my immense pleasure to meet you all through this Newsletter, Hope you all enjoyed your summer vacations with your families! IMA CGP HQs is very much committed to our General Practitioners to increase the Knowledge and update it in - par with the Global Standards and also making them empowered to face any critical situation or any critical patients in their day-to-day practice. Now a days we are insisting that Family Medicine concept to be included in the curriculum of Medical Education. A lot been happening and I like to brief about the activities which happened in our CGP HQs for the last two months. FCGP Examination IMA Pune Sub Faculty conducted the FCGP Examination on 30th April. It was organized very well by Dr. Meenakshi Deshpande, President, IMA Pune, Dr. Raju Varynai, Asst. Director, IMA CGP Pune and Dr. Alka Kshirsagar / Dr. Geetanjali Sharma, Hon. Secretaries, IMA Pune. I participated as an External Examiner. Out of the 5 Candidates attended the examinations all have passed the examination with good marks. Earlier in last year 10 candidates have attended and all of them were passed. So, totally 15 of our Members from Pune Sub Faculty have got FCGP and soon they are going to start the next batch. I thank the entire team of IMA Pune Sub faculty and our Imm.Past Dean Dr.Avinash Bhondwe for making these opportunities made available to our Members. We from IMA CGP HQs, regularly conducting CME Programmes every month last Sunday under the leadership of our Dean Dr.Rayapu Ramesh Babu. IMA CGP HQs - 31st International CME Programme (Virtual) 31st Conference – “International conference on well being of the Doctors – A comprehensive and Interrelated aspects of Medical, Physical, Mental and Social Health” happened on 07.04.2023 from 9.00 Am – 6.30 Pm. It happened through virtual platform. Theme – “ Everyone, Everywhere can attain the highest level of health and wellbeing “ Guest of Honour were– Dr.Osahone Enabulele, Dr.Murugaraj Rajathurai, Prof. Dr. S.A. 40th, Annual Refresher Course, Kanpur Subfaculty I feel very proud that IMA CGP Kanpur Sub Faculty has organized its 40th Annual Refresher Course this year as well from 30th April to 7th of May at G.S.V.M. Medical College, Kanpur especially for the General Practitioners and Medical Students. On 1st May the Inaugural function took place Our National President Dr.Sharad Kumar Agarwal, our Dean Dr.Rayapu Ramesh Babu and myself attended. Really it was a very unique and mega Scientific Event, which is not happening anywhere in India through CGP Sub Faculty to the best of my knowlege which is always to be appreciated. It was a great privilege for me also. My thanks to the External Examiner Dr. Suhas Neneas well. I request the leaders of big cities to organize these kind of programmes through IMA CGP. We from CGP HQs is very much willing to guide you. IMA CGP, Coimbatore Sub Faculty Activities TWO events were conducted by the IMA-CGP Coimbatore Sub Faculty during the month of May 2023. I like to proudly mention that in past 5 Months period total 6 CME programmes has been conducted by them The monthly CGP-CME meeting was held on 09.5.2023 The topic discussed was “INHALERS- WHAT WHY HOW WHEN” in commemoration with the World Asthma day on May 2nd. Meeting was graced by the presence of the following State office bearers IMA-TNSB State CGP Joint Secretary Dr.CP.Shanmugasundaram. the Branch President Dr.M.DoraiKannan and the Branch secretary Dr.B.Koshalram. The meeting was well attended by IMA members of Coimbatore, some of the hospital staff followed by a very interactive question answer session with the speakers. Also on May 5th - May 7th the CGP Sub Faculty Coimbatore branch in association with AMS, WDW, & Fine arts team conducted a programme for our kids a “MEDIFEST”. It was well attended by nearly 30 kids and they found it was very interesting. IMA Maharashtra State CGP Conference 2023 IMA Mumbai branch hosted the IMA Maharashtra State CGP Conference on 11th June 2023. More than 250 delegates from Mumbai & all over Maharashtra physically attended this conference and more than 200 delegates attended this conference on digital platform. Chief Guest Dr. Ravindra Kute IMA Maharashtra State President delivered very encouraging address to the delegates. During the inauguration ceremony the Guest of Honor Dr. Jayesh Lele. National Vice President 2022-23, Dr. Shivkumar Utture National Vice President 2023-24, Dr. Santosh Kadam Hon. State Secretary IMA Maharashtra State and Dr. Yogesh Choulera, Director IMA CGP MS shared pearls of wisdom with the delegates. 17 esteemed speakers who were experts in their field of specialty gave their talk. Their talks were extremely informative and enlightening. IMA CGP HQs – 33rd International CME Programme (Virtual) 33rd Conference “ International Conference & Womens Healthcare & Wellbeing” on 14.05.2023 from 9.00 Am to 6.30 Pm Theme – “ Focusing on the treatment and Diagnosis of Diseases & Conditions that affect a women’s and Physical and Emotional Wellbeing “ Guest of Honour were – Dr.B.Vengamma, Dr.Mano P Desai, Dr.Nilima Kadambi, Dr.Jayashree Natarajan, Dr.Manjula Anagani, Dr.Penna Krishna Prasanthi, Dr.Pradeepha Singhal, Dr.V.Radhika Reddy IMA CGP HQs – 34th International CME Programme (Virtual) 34th Conference “ International Conference on Covid – 19” happened on 28.05.2023 from 9.00 Am to 6.45 Pm Theme – Recent advances & Trends in “ in Covid – 19 “ Special focus on diagnostic challenges – Therapeutics – Acute and long Covid – Pediatric – Respiratory- Gastric – Cardiac –Neurological and other Manifestations and its Management” Guest of Honour were – Dr.Vijayalakshmi Thanasekaraan, Dr.G.Thilagavathy, Dr.K.Ravi, Dr.Sushil Kabra,Prof. Kirish Sundararajan, Dr.Prasad V Chalasani In all the above programmes our National President Dr.Sharad Kumar Agarwal, Honarary Secretary General Dr. Anil Kumar J Nayak, & Finance Secretary Dr.Shitij Bali and CGP HQs Office Bearers were present and shared their greetings and concerns to the participants regarding the topics and concerned issues.

The conference started with the Lunch and then the Inaugural function with a Welcome address by myself, Dr.T.Senthamil Pari, President IMA TNSB gave his State presidents address . Key Note address by our Past National President Dr.J.A.Jayalal, Our National President Dr.Sharad Kumar Agarwal gave his inspirational Presidential address and Dr.Daggumati Sreehari Rao, National Vice President, IMA HQs attended and graced the event. We had our Office Bearers Meeting the same day. Our National President Dr.Sharad Kumar Agarwal visited our CGP HQs office for the first time and we had many fruitful discussions. Many constructive decisions also taken place for the betterment of National & State CGP’s. The conference had very good eminent speakers who did their job very well. Almost 70 participants attended the conference. all were very much benefited. My Humble request to all State Faculty and Branch Sub Faculty is to send your monthly activity report to our HQs every month without fail. A copy of this will be sent to you all through E format. CGP Sub Faculty IMA Bhiwandi branch Under the banner of CGP Sub Faculty IMA Bhiwandi branch conducted one credit point cme on 17 June.23. Talk by Dr Ujwala Bardapurkar on calcium need for today was very informative and very useful. stressbuster for doctors by Dr Fabian Almeida was very good and it was well enjoyed by all and it was a highlight moment . The Programme went on with good attendance , members appriciated the cme Programme. Kindly follow the 4-A’s concept in your General practice ·Available – making yourself available Physically and knowledgeably in the community which you are practicing ·Acceptable – you should be acceptable in the community where you are practicing by your good habits and deeds ·Approachable – you should be approachable to any needed persons irrespective of cast, greed , Socio-Economic status and positions in the society ·Affordable – you must have the Skill, of making your treatment very much affordable to your patients, according to the Socio-Economic Situation If you follow the above mentioned 4-A’s in your practice, you will be successful.
