1 My Beloved Sisters in Christ, “Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” It is with immense joy and gratitude that I extend a warm welcome to each one of you attending the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Queen Esther Ministries Women’s Retreat. Whether this is your first time or your 25th time, we are overjoyed to have you join us on this momentous occasion. This retreat holds great significance as we commemorate 25 years of God’s faithfulness and grace upon Queen Esther Ministries. Over these many years, we have seen the mighty hand of God as women’s lives have been miraculously changed through the ministry of retreat. To God be the glory! Our purpose for this gathering is to allow God, through the Holy Spirit to speak to and heal the broken areas of our lives and allow the truth of God’s Word to change our very lives and position us for greater work in the kingdom. Thus, our theme this year is, “BE MADE WHOLE,” inspired by the profound healing account found in John 5:1-9. In this passage, Jesus encounters a man who had been ill for 38 years and Jesus speaks these powerful words: “Wilt thou be made whole?” This question implies that “healing” and “being made whole” involve more than just physical restoration. There are other areas that only you and God know that need to be made whole. So, no matter how trapped you feel in your infirmity, God can minister to your deepest needs. All God wants to know is, “Do you want to be made whole?” As we delve into the theme, my prayer is that each woman present will experience a deep and lasting encounter with the Lord; that you will BE MADE WHOLE in your body, mind, and spirit. Through powerful praise and worship, meaningful fellowship, and the teaching of our anointed facilitators and guest speakers, we anticipate divine moments where the broken places within us will be touched by the healing hand of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In closing, let me encourage you with the words of Psalm 147:3 (NIV), “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” As we gather together in unity, let us support and uplift one another. Remember that you are not alone on this journey, and God has a beautiful plan for each of you. Embrace the theme of being made whole, and trust that God’s grace is more than sufficient to meet you exactly where you are. Again welcome, and may this retreat be a time of restoration, renewal, refreshing and rejuvenation for us all and may you encounter the Lord in a way that leaves you forever changed and walking in the fullness of His love. It is with immense joy and pride that I extend my heartfelt greetings and congratulations to you, my beloved wife and partner in ministry.As the esteemed host of the retreat, you have tirelessly poured your heart and soul into creating a sanctuary where women from around the globe gather to experience spiritual renewal, sisterhood, and empowerment. Over the past 25 years, your unwavering commitment to this sacred endeavor has touched countless lives and transformed hearts in ways that only God Himself could orchestrate. The journey of Queen Esther Ministries is a testament to your faithfulness, resilience, and unwavering dedication to God’s call on your life. Through every trial and triumph, you have remained steadfast, guided by the assurance that “those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31). Pastor Esther, the Lord’s hand has been evident in every aspect of Queen Esther Ministries Women’s Retreat. The lives transformed, the bonds forged, and the faith strengthened—all bear witness to His marvelous work in and through you. 4 OUR HISTory In 1994, Pastor Esther K. Faulkner, affectionately known as “Queen Esther,” embarked on a journey that would transform the lives of countless women through the establishment of Queen Esther Ministries Women’s Retreat. This transformative venture found its roots in a deeply personal experience of Pastor Esther’s own healing. Struggling with chronic back pain for many years, Pastor Esther found herself seeking solace and healing through a retreat experience in 1986. It was during this time of seeking God’s intervention that she experienced a profound healing, an event that would shape her ministry for years to come. Inspired by her own healing and following in the footsteps of her visionary parents, Chief Apostle Monroe R. Saunders, Sr., and Elect Lady Mother Alberta B. Saunders, founders of the Deeper Life Ministry & the Abundant Life & Light Retreat Ministry, Pastor Esther forged ahead with a vision to create a space for women to experience healing, restoration, and empowerment. On March 26, 1994, Pastor Esther launched the inaugural Queen Esther Ministries Women’s Retreat. Held at the picturesque Sandy Cove Ministries & Conference Center in North East Maryland, the retreat welcomed twenty women from Pastor Faulkner’s church, then known as Columbia Apostolic Church. Centered around the theme “Inner Healing for Broken Vessels” (Psalm 107:19-20), the retreat provided a sacred space for women to encounter God’s healing and restoration. Assisting Pastor Esther in ministering to the women were her mother, Elect Lady Mother Alberta Saunders, her sister, Evangelist Jacqueline Johnson, Sis. Shirley Robertson, Elder Lois McMillan, Intercessor Glenora Wilson and Pastor Veronica Watson. The atmosphere of the retreat was charged with the presence of God, permeating the room through heartfelt praise and worship led by Evangelist Beverly Johnson. Throughout the day, the women were ministered to through teaching, preaching, and personal one-on-one time for introspection and communion with God. Each year, a cherished highlight of the Queen Esther Ministries Women’s Retreat was the presence and teaching of Chief Apostle Bishop Monroe R. Saunders Sr. His profound insight and anointed preaching served as a catalyst, propelling women to new spiritual heights and deeper encounters with God. As the visionary behind the Deeper Life Ministry, Bishop Saunders’ wisdom and knowledge were foundational to the retreat experience. His teachings resonated deeply with retreatants, offering guidance, encouragement, and spiritual nourishment. Bishop Saunders’ legacy as a spiritual leader continued to reverberate through Queen Esther Ministries, carrying forward the rich inheritance passed down from her sainted parents. His words of wisdom remained a driving force, inspiring retreatants to embrace their identity as daughters of God and to walk boldly in their calling. The impact of Bishop Saunders’ ministry extended far beyond the confines of the retreat, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and lives of those who had the privilege of hearing him speak. His teachings served as a beacon of light, guiding women on their journey of faith and transformation. Though Bishop Saunders has since passed on, his legacy lives on in the ongoing work of Queen Esther Ministries. His teachings continue to shape and inspire the ministry, ensuring that the retreat remains a place of spiritual renewal, empowerment, and divine encounter for generations to come. Pastor Faulkner’s passion for ministering to women was deeply rooted in the example set by her mother. From an early age, she witnessed the selfless dedication of Mother Alberta Saunders as she poured her heart and soul into ministering to women. Mother Saunders’ unwavering determination to see women healed, delivered, and set free left an indelible mark on Pastor Faulkner’s spirit, shaping her ministry and approach to women’s retreats. Observing her mother’s tireless efforts, Pastor Faulkner learned the importance of sacrificial service and the transformative power of prayer and counseling. She witnessed firsthand the profound impact that comes from women receiving their breakthroughs, experiencing the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and releasing their hurts and pains.


5 This ethos became the essence of the Queen Esther Ministries Women’s Retreat—a sacred place where women could come away from the busyness of life, to seek intimacy with God, and to find healing and restoration for their souls. The retreat’s theme, inspired by the book “Come Away, My Beloved,” written by Frances J. Roberts, echoed the divine invitation for women to draw near to God, to encounter His love, and to be transformed by His presence. In honoring her mother’s legacy and fueled by her own passion for women’s ministry, Pastor Faulkner dedicated herself to creating an environment where women could experience the same level of spiritual nurturing, guidance, and empowerment that she had witnessed under her mother’s ministry. Thus, the Queen Esther Ministries Women’s Retreat became not just an event, but a sacred journey—a journey of healing, deliverance, and divine encounter for women seeking to deepen their relationship with God and to walk in the fullness of their calling. As the Queen Esther Ministries Women’s Retreat continued to grow and impact the lives of women, Pastor Esther was blessed to have a team of anointed women of God working alongside her in the ministry. This God-ordained group of women became instrumental in guiding retreatants towards breakthroughs and experiencing healing and deliverance through the power of the Holy Spirit. This dynamic team, affectionately referred to as the “Dream Team,” comprised of individuals who poured their hearts and souls into serving others. Among them were: Mother Alberta B. Saunders, (revered as the retreat’s spiritual mother), Pastor Winnie Gilliam, Intercessor Glenora H. Wilson, Bishop Veronica Watson, and Evangelist Beverly Johnson. Although they have passed from labor to reward and now reside in the presence of the Lord, their impact continues to be felt in the ministry’s legacy. Presently, the Queen Esther Ministries Women’s Retreat is guided by a dedicated team of individuals who bring wisdom, experience, and a heart for the ministry of retreat. Among these esteemed members are: Pastor Jacqueline Johnson, a beacon of wisdom and compassion, whose leadership has been instrumental in shaping the retreat’s direction; Elder Lois McMillan, whose depth of insight and spiritual discernment continues to guide the ministry forward, Dr. Tiffany Mfume, whose passion for women’s empowerment and spiritual growth enriches the retreat’s mission, Deaconess Judy Jones, whose steadfast commitment to serving others reflects the heart of Queen Esther Ministries and Rev. Dr. Mary Ann Nichols, who through her counseling, teaching and prayer ministry has touched countless lives, offering guidance, healing and hope to those in need. Together, these women lend their expertise and support, ensuring that Queen Esther Ministries Women’s Retreat remains a beacon of hope, healing, and transformation for women seeking to draw closer to God. Saunders Sr. and Elect Lady Mother Alberta B. Saunders. Their profound impact on this ministry and the countless lives they touched continue to resonate within our hearts and souls. Like pillars of strength and wisdom, Chief Apostle Dr. Monroe R. Saunders Sr. and Elect Lady Mother Alberta B. Saunders exemplified unwavering faith, sacrificial love, and relentless dedication to God’s work. Their vision to show God’s people the need to set aside an appointed time and place to gather for the sole purpose of probing the heights and depths of God in spirit and in truth, withdrawing from earthly concerns for a few moments in order to fully consecrate, purify, and sanctify themselves, laid the foundation for what has become the Queen Esther Ministries Women’s Retreat – a sanctuary of sisterhood, healing, and transformation. As their daughter and successor in carrying forth their vision, I am deeply humbled and honored to continue the work they began. Though they may no longer be with us in body, their spirit lives on in the hearts of all who have been touched by their love and guidance. 13 “DESTROY IT & BE SET FREE” Facilitator: Evangelist Barbara Bull Description: This class is a powerful journey of liberation and restoration for women, anchored in the theme of being made whole, as exemplified in John 5:6. As women, we often carry burdens, habits, and strongholds that weigh us down and hinder our ability to experience the abundant life Christ offers. In this transformative class, participants will confront these obstacles head-on, empowered by God’s promise to make us whole in every aspect of our lives. Why it is Necessary: 1. Identification: Through introspection and scriptural guidance, women will identify the areas in their lives that need to be destroyed and released. 19 MINISTER BARBARA A. BULL “Home of a Proper Praise and a Due Dance!” Minister Barbara Bull lives by these words. First Lady Barbara Ann Bull is the fifth of twelve children born to the late John and Earline West in Darlington, South Carolina. She was raised and educated in the Darlington County public school system. Minister Bull has earned various certificates in the area of creative arts. Lady Bull is owner of Monique’s Boutique, a clothing store for women, and Bab’s Bakery. On March 16, 1976, she was united in holy matrimony to Michael L. Bull. They have been blessed with two loving children: Derrick (Nadia) and Shawntell, as well as four doting grandchildren: Avery Elijah, Landon Michael, Eva Brennan, and Jackson Tatum. Minister Bull began her spiritual journey at Tabernacle Holiness Church in Darlington, South Carolina under the leadership of the late Bishop Hunter. She later moved her membership to St. Matthew United Church of Jesus Christ, Apostolic under the leadership of Pastor William English Sr. Minister Bull has served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher/superintendent, usher, choir member, and Women’s Council president, just to name a few. Minister Bull along with some dedicated members of the St. Matthew Church family have implemented an outreach initiative entitled, “Feed the Community”. This initiative provides a hot meal to members of the Pee Dee community for free. As a member of the 5th Episcopal Diocese of the UCJC Apostolic, First Lady Bull has served as the youth president, treasurer, and National 2nd Vice President of the Women of Royalty. After her husband became pastor in 1980, she moved into the title of First Lady. After many years of assisting her husband in the ministry, Minister Bull heeded the call to ministry in 2006. She continues to spread the gospel across the southeastern United States with Acts 26:22 in mind – “Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great.” This is her mission and she will continue to follow it, one soul at a time.


20 DEACONESS JUDY JONES Judith Saunders-Jones, affectionately known as “Judy,” is a proud native of Baltimore, Maryland. She is the youngest child of the late Chief Apostle Monroe Randolph Saunders, Sr., and Lady Elect Alberta Saunders, and a devoted mother to her daughters Julianne Janae’ and Jada Janelle Jones. Judy’s educational journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence. 21 MINISTER RITA MANIGAULT Minister Rita Manigault’s global ministry stems from her profound dedication to leading people to the truth and guiding them towards God as their Savior, Healer, and Deliverer. She is an esteemed member of Preparing The Way of The Lord Ministries (PWLM), where her son, Bishop James Manigault Jr., and her husband, Pastor James Manigault Sr., play integral roles. Born in Laurel, Mississippi in 1952, Minister Manigault is the youngest of six children to Leonard and Gladys Moody. Seek God in Prayer Dedicate time to seek God’s presence and guidance through prayer, pouring out your heart to Him and inviting His healing touch. 25 WHAT IS YOUR “WILL” Excerpts from: The Power of the Holy Ghost Magazine by Ernest Angley Wilt Thou Be Made Whole? I want you to consider every word in this phrase. First look at the word wilt. What is your will? Do you will to be made completely whole or do you just want the pain to leave? Some people aren’t interested in being delivered completely, and others don’t even believe it’s God’s will to make them whole all over. I accepted my great miracle all over, and I never doubted it. Everything was done, and I knew it. I knew it was the will of the Lord for me to be completely well because the Word says that Jesus came with healing in His wings. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings (Malachi 4:2). There are people who have actually been made whole, but they failed to accept it. They walked away after prayer without realizing what they had received and didn’t claim it. If somebody gives you a gift, you can’t take it with you unless you reach out for it and accept it. Even then, you can’t use it if it’s not real to you. The Lord said that if a believer would lay hands on you, He would get you well. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). Some people say that they don’t know whether or not it’s God’s will to heal them, but they’ll seek all kinds of medical help from doctors. If it were not God’s will to heal, then those doctors would be working against the will of God. A good doctor or nurse who recognizes God is really a blessing, and I appreciated every medical person who helped me when I was in so much pain. The Bible tells us that Jesus understands all that we go through. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). Jesus took our pain, our sorrows and our heartaches; but you have to realize this and believe it. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4).2 Chronicles 7:14-15 King James Version 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. You Must Believe Do you really will to be healed? Do you will to get rid of all of your sicknesses and diseases? Do you believe that only good and perfect gifts come from Heaven? Will you accept being made whole? Whether you “will” or you “don’t will” is up to you. People may not realize it, but some actually come before God and say in their spirit, “I will not be made whole.” To look right into the face of God in a miracle service or while God’s message is going forth on television, over the Internet or through the written Word and to have such an attitude is something. Some people act it out whether they actually say it or not. They do not believe they can be made whole, and they might as well face it. When you don’t have faith, you can’t please God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). Some people will not only let you know that they don’t believe, but they’ll also brag about it. They’re proud to be an infidel or an agnostic, but there are no unbelievers in hell—all who go there become believers the moment they arrive. People may say, “I don’t believe God will send me to hell.” No, He won’t; but your sins will send you there. God told the Israelites, But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear (Isaiah 59:2). Sin separates people from God. God Sees Individuals Let’s go back to the question, Wilt thou be made whole? I want you to notice the word thou. Make it personal; thou means you, not anybody else. Will you be made whole? God works with each one individually. Healing is one-on-one just as salvation is. You don’t need anybody else to help you get saved; it’s a personal thing—and nobody can get saved for you. Your parents may love you more than anyone else, but they can’t get saved for you. You have to be willing to come out of the world of sin and degradation and live for the Lord.

PROVERBS God loves me enough to get me beyond my excuses. My excuse is my blessing blocker. Just on the other side of your excuse is the miracle move of God you need. Excuses stand between you and divine creativity. Excuses rob Believers of development by not making a demand on their potential. Excuses deny God the avenue to show off in your life. 27 ARE YOU AN EXCUSE MAKER? We have all been in a situation, whether work or personal, that could have been far more successful had there not been a mountain of our own excuses in the way, blocking the path to progress. Excuses are rationalizations we make to ourselves about people, events, and circumstances. They are invented reasons, created to defend our behavior, stop us from taking an action, or simply as a means of avoiding responsibility or risk. Excuses, as much as anything, limit a person’s opportunity to reach their full potential. Fear is the biggest driver of excuse-making – fear of failure, fear of change, fear of responsibility, fear of making mistakes, fear of looking foolish, and for some people, fear of success. Habitually making excuses leads directly to a lack of growth. It confines us to living in a very small comfort zone, and is the foremost cause of a negative attitude in the excuse maker. It has been said that those who are good at making excuses are seldom good at anything else. Successful people don’t make excuses. They take responsibility for their decisions, follow through with their actions, and learn from their missteps. They understand that mistakes will happen, but choose to take the risk anyway. Rather than being convinced of failure from the outset, effective individuals know failure and defeat are life’s greatest teachers. They choose not to play it safe, and not to fly below the radar. Successful people make success happen. Ready to stop making excuses and start making a difference? Here are some things to keep in mind: • Don’t surround yourself with negative people. • Be intentional about maintaining a positive mindset. • Find what you are passionate about and pursue it. • Reconcile in your mind that this is going to take work, and be willing to do it. • Watch successful people for tips on achieving more. • To accomplish your personal best, to make the impossible possible, eliminate excuses. Think big. Push yourself through the fear. Keep finding better ways to run your business and/or life, or someone will take what you have accomplished, improve upon it, and take credit for it. 28 “Be Made Whole” Questions These questions are designed to encourage introspection, self-awareness, and spiritual growth as you reflect on the theme of BEING MADE WHOLE in the context of John 5:6. 1. How do you relate to the character of the man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5:6? Are there areas in your life where you feel stuck or broken? 2. Reflecting on your own journey, what barriers or obstacles do you face in seeking wholeness? 3. In what ways do you respond to Jesus’ question, “Do you want to be made whole?” Are there hesitations or doubts in your heart? 4. Consider the role of faith in the healing process. How does your faith influence your belief in the possibility of being made whole? 5. Are there specific actions or steps Jesus might be prompting you to take in order to experience wholeness? How willing are you to obey His instructions? 6. Reflect on past experiences where you’ve encountered the healing touch of Jesus in your life. How have these moments shaped your understanding of wholeness? 7. How do societal expectations or cultural norms impact your perception of wholeness as a woman? In what ways do these factors influence your journey toward healing? 8. Explore the concept of wholeness beyond physical healing. How does Jesus offer spiritual, emotional, and mental restoration to women in need of healing? 9. Consider the importance of community and support in the process of becoming whole. How can other women walk alongside you in your journey toward wholeness? 10. Reflect on the freedom and empowerment that come from being made whole in Christ. How does this truth shape your identity and purpose as a woman?


29 Warfare Prayers for Women DECLARATION OF FAITH I come to You, Lord Jesus, as my Deliverer. You know all my problems, all the things that bind, torment, defile, and harass me. I now loose myself from every dark spirit, every influence, every satanic bondage and from every spirit in me which is not a Spirit of God, and I command all such spirits to leave me now in the name of Jesus Christ. I confess that my body is a temple for the Holy Spirit, redeemed, cleansed, and sanctified by the blood of Jesus. Through the blood of Jesus, I am redeemed out of the hand of the devil. The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s son, cleanses me continually from all sin. Through the blood of Jesus I am justified, mad righteous, just as if I’d never sinned; I am sanctified, made holy and se apart to God. Therefore, Satan has no part in me or no power over me because of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I renounce him, loose myself from him and command him to leave me. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. PRAYER OF REFUSAL AGAINST SATAN Lord Jesus, I’m saying these prayers for myself and my family (name family members). Today, I commit our lives to You totally (bodies, souls and spirits). I ask that You bend, break and mold us to make us into the men and women that You want us to be. Satan, I come against you and all your hosts; I reject everything that you would have for us today. I refuse all the snares, pits and traps you have set up to draw us away from the Lord Jesus Christ and deliverance. I rebuke, refuse, reject, renounce and resist you, Satan, and all your hosts, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Father, I ask for Your will and purpose to be done today. Keep us in Your perfect will and make us yielded vessels for Your work. UNBELIEF, DOUBT AND FEAR Father, I renounce unbelief, doubt, lies, and fear. I ask forgiveness from these and bind and cast them out of us. I ask you to replace them with truth, faith, trust, and confidence in You and help us to have contentment, peace and rest in You. PSYCHIC HEREDITY AND BONDAGE PRAYER In the name of Jesus Christ, I now renounce, break, and loose myself and my children from all psychic powers, bondages, or bonds, or physical or mental illness upon me or my family line, as the result of my parents or any other ancestors or relatives. I thank You, Lord, for setting me free. TAKING GROUNDS FROM THE ENEMY I take authority over you in the name of Jesus Christ, you foul demon spirit. You have no legal right or grounds to reside in this body. Jesus Christ obtained an order of eviction 2,000 years ago at Calvary. The order is written in His blood and signed by the Lord Jesus Christ. I ask my Father in heaven, by His Son Jesus Christ, to send angelic sheriffs to execute this order of eviction. You must vacate God’s property now or be forcibly removed. This is the only warning you will receive. LOOSING FROM DOMINATION PRAYER In the name of Jesus Christ, I now renounce, break and loose myself from all demonic subjection to my mother, father, grandparents, or any other human being, living or dead, who has dominated me in any way contrary to the will of God. I thank You, Lord, for setting me free. LOOSING OF CURSES, SPELLS, ETC. In the name of Jesus Christ, I now rebuke, break and loose myself and my children from any and all evil curses, charms, vexes, hexes, spells, jinxes, psychic powers, bewitchments, witchcraft and sorcery, which have been put upon me or my family line from any persons or from any occult or psychic source, and I renounce all connected and related spirits and command them to leave me.
