9755 - Mt. Hebron Meeting

9755 - Mt. Hebron Meeting

THE BISHOP DAVID WASHINGTON SPANN SR. MEMORIAL DISTRICT Meeting april 4-7, 2022 7:00 pm Nightly Theme: “Believe” - Mark 16:15-18 Jurisdictional Prelate, BISHOP JOEL H. LYLES, JR. Jurisdictional Supervisor of Women, MOTHER FREDDIE M. JOY District Superintendent HENRY B. HUNT District Missionary MOTHER ETHEL WHITE MT. HEBRON MEMORIAL CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST 2231 W. North Avenue & Bentalou Street | Baltimore, MD 21216

Superintendent HENRY B. HUNT “Believe” St. Mark 16:15-18 “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” - Lamentations 3:22-23 I greet you in the matchless name of Jesus. It is with profound joy in which I convey this communiqué. Jesus has been, is, and shall always be faithful unto us. If thou canst “believe” all things are possible. This is the given theme from the Holy Ghost for this year’s ministry. “Believe” I heard him say in St. Mark 16:15-18 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” The saints have been commissioned by Jesus to evangelize the entire world with a singular message, “Believe” in Jesus and his eternal word. Everything we need is in him. He is and forever shall be the light of the world that cannot and will not be comprehended. Within this year already we have been confronted with daunting circumstances, challenges and dilemmas, but because we believe Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” We are more than conquerors through him that loved us. We are living in the last days, please; please, stay focused on Jesus and his eternal word. Please believe his word, don’t say it, but live it. Let it be seen in you, let it be seen alive in you! I praise God for my beautiful and courageous wife Mother Doris Hunt who constantly demonstrates her steadfast faith in the ministry of Jesus Christ. I celebrate each pastor, his wife, and the congregates for each church. You have demonstrated your loyalty and support down through the years. Please let’s continue to occupy until the Lord shall come. Yours in Christ, From the profundity of my heart, Superintendent Henry B. Hunt Greetings from

District Missionary MOTHER ETHEL WHITE I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Welcome to our 2022 District Meeting. I pray that it will be a blessing to you and your family. Trust and obey is the key for this year’s trials. Know that God is in control. Don’t be anxious about anything, but pray about everything (Philippians 4:6) “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” I will continue to lift each of you in my prayers, and counting on you to hold me up in your prayers as well. God Bless, Mother Ethel White Greetings from

Assertive Truths Abridging Black History The Crispus Attucks killing at the Boston Massacre Grounded the American Revolution But Marcus Garvey’s ‘Pan-African’ theories had a better solution The Back to Africa Movement created mass hysteria But they soldiered on to create the Continental offering of Liberia. The Consortium of America’s history attempted to hide The contributions of the African relic’s pride The instability and the tension of social constructs Where avarice and prejudices had run amuck With lynchings proliferated by lies proffered by the pathetic Our ancestors rose like the Phoenix out of the ashes of the Black aesthetic; Experiences that highlighted the artistic ambiance Shaken from the roots of the Harlem Renaissance; Carter G. Woodson had a measured attack To celebrate and champion the achievements in Black. There are so many paradigms that this Poem cannot hold, Strong Black voices that are proud, brave and bold With messages of liberty which sought to inspire Pioneers preaching deliverance from Hells’ fire Bishop Charles H. Mason was our historical spiritual bridge Teaching us to make Heaven our eternal place to live We must be ready at all times when our hopes and dreams collide And never forget the sturdy shoulders on which we ride And stay strong against the radical racial divide While at the same time always focus forward keeping our eyes on that prize. The ancient African heritage sprinkled dust Soiled by America’s racism an institutionalized brush Strengthened by the bond of freedom woven tight Bound by the struggle of Civil Human Rights With these self evident truths they held onto to strut Shadowed under the Moniker of in God We Trust This Poem was written to abridge the truths Asserted to help discover the mysteries; As we continue to walk through all of the Hallowed halls of Black History. This work was inspired by God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Ghost Kimberly Lane KL Copyright February 12, 2022 Theme: “Believe” - St. Mark 16:15-18
