GASKET SHEET TM Gen Asbestos Gasket Asbestos Gasket - containing product used to make gaskets for commercial and industrial settings. Asbestos fibers are mixed with a binding material and compressed to form the product, which can then be cut into various shapes and sizes to form gaskets and heat seals. Asbestos was commonly used as a component of this product because it provided resistance to high temperatures, as well as excellent durability and flexibility. Its cost effective nature also made asbestos an appealing material to produce gaskets and heat seals cheaply. Shape of gasket P.C.D FF type (full face seat) gasket RF type (flat face seat) gasket Non-Asbestos Joint Sheets are sheet-type gasket materials produced pressurized vulcanization of a blend of a special rubber binder and a small amount of filler added to an organic or inorganic fiber material. Non-Asbestos Joint Sheets do not contain asbestos and can thus be used as an asbestos-free alternative to the conventional asbestosjoint sheets. “Gen2” Style 400 (For General Service) Suitable for oil resistant gasket material for light to medium loading. Suitable for low operating pressure, e.g. transformers, compressors and apparatus. Also used for easily deformable components with low surface pressure like valve covers and pans in internal combustion engines. temperature with no effect on the ceramic fiber properties “Gen2” Style 750 (For High Temp) It has excellent resistance to steam and strong alkaline media. It is widely used in the chemical and petrochemical industries. CF exhibits good sealing and torque retention properties. It is specifically designed to satisfy the growing demand for numerous aggressive chemicals used by industry today. PTFE GASKET TM Gen Product Description High chemical resistant gasketing “Gen2” PTFE Gasketing is truly a super and unique material. The exclusive properties of PTFE gasketing are combined to deliver its superior performance to comply with today's clean air requirements through sealability and torque retention. Asbestos-free PTFE gasketing routinely outperforms all conventional PTFE products by drastically minimizing gasketing creep and cold flow problems. Typical conditions for PTFE gasketing are found in the food, chemical and petrochemical industry, pulp and paper plants and pharmaceutical industry.
