Welcome to Publitas!

By uploading your PDF to Publitas, your Publication
becomes instantly available as an HTML5 version that
works great on desktops, tablets, and smartphones. This
way, you can easily share your Publication on social
media and email. Similarly, embed it on a website so
your customers can read your Publications no matter
when or where they are.

Read on to find out how you can:

Upload your PDF

Publitas converts PDF documents into online
Publications. To get started, you'll need a PDF. If you
don't have a PDF at hand, you can use this PDF for now.

1. Head over to app.publitas.com and login
2. Click 'Create a new Publication'
3. Select a PDF file from your computer
4. Give your Publication a title
5. Check 'Publish now' to make your PDF visible to people

(and search engines)
6. Click 'Confirm settings & Upload PDF'

Your PDF will start uploading, and you'll be taken to the
Publication list.

Preview your Publication

Once the conversion of your Publication is finished, click
the Publication's thumbnail to preview it.

Publication status

In the preview, you may notice 'Publication status' in the
top-right corner of your screen. This is only visible when
previewing the Publication. It's there to remind you of
your Publication's availability.

You can change the status of your Publication
with the online/offline toggle:

Online—public on the web
The Publication is available for anyone with the link, and the
Publication can be found by search engines.

Offline—only visible to you
The Publication link is only available to you when you are
logged into Publitas.

Get a link you can share
anywhere online

Publitas makes sharing your Publication possible in a
few clicks.

1. Click "Share"
2. Copy the link under Publication URL
3. You can share this link anywhere you like

(For example, on your Social Media channels or through
your email newsletter. And remember, when sharing,
make sure your Publication is 'Online—public on the
web’.)

Add your Publication to
your website

In addition to sharing the link, you can also embed the
entire Publication on your website. We do this through
an embed code that you can paste in your site's HTML.

1. Click "Share"
2. Select 'Embed'
3. Copy the code under Publication Embed code
4. Paste the code in your site's HTML

Add links or videos to your
Publication

Publitas will automatically detect links in your PDF and
make them clickable. You can also add more
interactivity by drawing hotspots. These are clickable
areas that can open links or videos, for example.

1. Click 'Add hotspots'
2. Draw a Video or Link Hotspot
3. Provide a URL (eg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?

v=A_MjCqQoLLA)
4. Go check it out by clicking 'Preview'!
