CAREER NOW

Career is one of the most important decisions for our upcoming life and to make our life easier.
According to Dictionary Oxford Languages (n.d),
career can be defined an occupation undertaken
for a significant period of a person’s life and with
chances for progress. Nowadays, to ensure
everyone have a better future in every way, we
need to have a career. Like me, I’m a teacher but
I am interested in businesswoman. As we know,
businesswoman is becoming more well-known and financially independent as time goes on.
So, from my perspective, a businesswoman is basically someone who manages a business
using already existing business concepts. They do online business by selling product taken
from the company’s staff. There are numerous reasons why I want to be a businesswoman
besides my career now because online business uses low cost and save my time,
convenience for me and my customer and easy to increase money.

The main reason why I am interested in a businesswoman as my career because online
business uses low cost and save time. This is because when we do online business, we do
not require any kind of warehouse, inventory, transportation vehicles or staff (Mahek Tandon,

2022). For example, we have to send the product
directly to the customer via suppliers. Then, online
business also can save time for both the buyer
and retailer which is It can benefit for both parties,
reduce hours of operation and other information
could easily be found on company and product
pages. From that sellers do not have to go to the
store and also face to the traffic jam just to open
the shop. Customer also can interact to the sellers by using their phone so everything will be
online. Both parties don’t have to use any vehicles to meet each other. They just have to
communicate through online so it will be easier.

Other than that, another reason why I interested
to be a businesswoman because convenience for
me and customers. It is because it has the feasibility
to operate from anywhere and enable to operate and
handle it from any corner of the world. Based from
research by Mahek Tandon (2022) the great benefit
of having an online business lets we have the
freedom to operate my business from anywhere. For
example, if I am abroad, it makes it easier for me because I don’t have to go back to the
country to manage the business. Besides, this job also helps people who have social anxiety
which mean people who don’t have confident to meet people in real life so by this way it can
boost confident because they just have to interact through smartphone. In another way, it is
convenience because customer can find multiple stores by a click and even comparisons
between different products are available at the finger tips. It is because it’s not guarantee for
customer of finding the right product in just one shop. It can happen due to the price being too
expensive or the size of the item is not available or maybe the stock of the item is limited.
Therefore, customers want to choose affordable and good quality products so online stores is
the best platform for them to buy.

Besides, being a businesswoman besides my career now it easy for me to increase
income and earn more money. It is because based from research by Thomas Smale (2015)

online business has access to a worldwide market
and ability to run it 24 hours without boundaries. So,
customer from others country easily to buy and pay
the product because it has no geographical
boundaries and there are no specific hours of
operation even while we sleep. In this era of
globalisation, people are more likely to use
technology. On the other hand, it will catch
customer’s eyes because the promoting is done
through social media. For instance, we can promote the product on social media like
Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Shopee, Lazada and others. If you can see most of tiktokers
famous sell her product on TikTok like Rozyana Roslan who is really famous in TikTok sell

her own cosmetic product eventho she went through a really hard life but by doing online
business on TikTok she became famous cosmetic owners. She sells cosmetic product like
foundation, lip tint, mascara and others. As a result, it motivates me to open a small company
like the other influencer.

In conclusion, getting to know my career that I am interested besides my career now
inspired me to become a successful businesswoman. In addition, by doing this job I can help
many people to find their favourite shop either from local product or international product. So,
its convenience for me and my customer to
buy item with affordable price. Besides, this
job can help me to increase more money
because of the internet can let customer visit
and know about our product at any time and
also can improve our country’s economy. So,
I think I should create a beautiful and creative
business website like use fonts, colours, text, video that relevant on website to attract more
customer to buy the product. Also, I will ask influencer to promote my product because when
influencer recommend the product their fans take notice and more likely to purchase the
product because of their large number of followers.
