Junction of Highways #16 Community of Tête Jaune Cache, BC. Tête Jaune Cache was named
'The Yellow Head Route' & after a fur trader and trapper named Pierre Hastination who guided for
British Columbia Highway the Hudson's Bay Company in the early 1800s. Pierre was nicknamed
#5 Tête Jaune by the French voyageurs because of his blonde hair. Tete
Jaune Cache, is at the confluence of the BC; Fraser and Robson Rivers.
