Junction of Highways #16 Community of Tête Jaune Cache, BC. Tête Jaune Cache was named

'The Yellow Head Route' & after a fur trader and trapper named Pierre Hastination who guided for

British Columbia Highway the Hudson's Bay Company in the early 1800s. Pierre was nicknamed

#5 Tête Jaune by the French voyageurs because of his blonde hair. Tete

Jaune Cache, is at the confluence of the BC; Fraser and Robson Rivers.

Columbia Icefield, and Wilcox Creek. Jasper National Park has over

1700 campsites spread throughout the park.

periods from the mid 1820s to the early 1850s by the Hudson Bay

Company, principally to transport leather especially moose hides from

Saskatchewan District to its posts in New Calidonia.
