History
The place in PAHANG I choose is
Cameron Highlands.
Cameron Highland was discovered in
1885 by William Cameron, under a
commission by the colonial government.
Forging a path through dense vegetation,
he reached a magnificent and sublime
plateau ‘shut up in the mountains’ along
the vast Titiwangsa range.
Places of Attraction
• CACTUS VALLEY is one of the biggest and most
popular tourist destination located here. The valley
boast of having one of the mostly variety of cactus
plants, some as old as 60 years.
Cactus Valley also have the most comprehensive
variety of plants and foliage including roses, calla lily
impatiens, fuchsia, ananas, camelia, hibiscus and
many other. Varieties of apple trees, passion fruit
plant are also curveted here. These items planted

• The district of Cameron Highlands countryside is
endowed with inexhaustible historical, natural and
human riches, generously revealed to the visitor. It’s
traditional villages, enhance and complement a
wonderful natural environment, with their local
character, traditional architecture and village planning.
The MARDI Cameron Highland’s Station was first
established by the British in 1925. it was then know as
the federal experimental station. Tea was first
introduced in the country in 1925 and these early tea
bushes are growing healthy at the station until today.
The first tea factory built in 1935 is still capable of
processing black tea.
