Who we are

U-TON Engineering

Limited is a Ghanaian based, Engineering consortium and a fiber optics
industry pioneer. U-Ton engineering has over five years experience operating

in the Ghanaian space and has engaged in an array of engineering activities
including Deployment Services for Optical Fibre Networks, Micro-ducts and
Mini-cables Systems Integration, Traditional Telecommunications deployment
Methods and network building Maintenance of Service Networks and Fibre
Installations, Low Voltage Equipment deployment. We currently serve as the

pioneers of the Fibre to the Home initiative in Ghana.

What we do

U-Ton Engineering Ghana Limited provides
solutions for modern high speed Fiber optic
broadband applications as well as traditional
communications and network infrastructure. Our

portfolio includes:

Our Footmarks

Since the launch of our operations in Ghana in 2014,U-Ton Engineering has
been engaged in a number of projects including the deployment of the
biggest Fiber to the home (FTTH) project of its kind in Ghana at the 1200-
unit Devtraco Courts Estates located in Tema Community 25. Other
locations include Trassaco Valley and Aurora Courts, Lakeside Estates,
Rehoboth Properties (Phase 1 and 2).

William So

Executive Director

Highly motivated, creative and versatile executive with over thirty years of experience in both IT and
Telecommunications industries; Outstanding experience in developing and managing start-up as well

as sizable, established operations; Proven track record in leading multi-cultural, multi-million dollar
operations in complex, dynamic, and high-risk markets.

With more than 20 years China business experience, served as senior executive to Sino-foreign Joint
Venture, Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE), Chinese Public Company and Chinese State-
Owned Enterprise. Demonstrated unprecedented knowledge of both business and political
environment in China.

Currently holding directorships at several technology companies in the emerging market, with hands-
on investment and management experience in emerging markets.

Specialties: Telecommunications, natural resources and infrastructure industries in China and
emerging markets

Equity investment and commercial partnerships in China and emerging markets

Our Team

Zoyo Zhao

(President)

Zoyo Zhao is an experienced Hong Kong management consultant and fund manager based in Ghana and Hong
Kong. Prior to her relocation to Africa, Zoyo Previously served as Vice President of Morgan Stanley Private Equity
fund in Hong Kong; With experience of 5 major Hong Kong IPO, M&A deals She was part of the team that
completed listing of Jingjuan Intl (HKG: 2362) and CP Group’s acquisition of Ping An Insurance Group shares.
Besides her work in finance, she is also the founder and CEO of Zephyr Global Resources Limited, a pan Africa
commodity exporting company based in Hong Kong, Dubai and West African countries. zoyo has extensive
experience in setting up businesses in Africa

Issah Abouli Afugu

Country Manager

Mr.Issah Abdulai Afugu has over 5 years in Fiber deployment and maintenance in Ghana. He has also been in active
employment for over with multiple vendor fiber maintenance of total 15,000KM national network.
He Oversaw MTN 6000KM Accra to Kumasi, Tamale to Bolge, Apimanin to Elubo backbone fiber deployment. Mr.
Afugu is also a Fiber to the home (FTTH) and fiber maintenance expert;
Mr. Afugu is a graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with a Degree in Bsc
Electric/Electronic Engineering. He enjoys solving problems and tackling challenges. Mr Afugu has a good sense of
judgement which is most evident in his management style and the growth achieved.

Mr. David Arthur

Project Manager

Mr Arthur has over 20 years in Ghanaian Telecom industry. He is extensively
experienced in project execution. He has 10 years in fiber deployment in Ghana. He
Oversaw entire Vodafone Accra copper and fiber network. Mr Arthur is also a Gigabit
Passive Optical Networks (GPON) application expert.
