Seasons Greeting Sorors, A MESSAGE FROM

Madam Basileus

It has been my honor and privilege to serve as your Basileus this past year. My first
term of service has proven to me the great resilience and commitment of our sisterhood. The silver
lining of this year has been the many milestones we have met including the 1st inaugural class of the
Louise Gaither LeadHERship AKAdemy. We look forward in 2022 to continued professional education
through the planning of the Doris Connor Bootcamp.

In 2022 we will be prepared and ready to embrace opportunities to gather in our sisterhood. The Ad-
Hoc committee which I appointed in early 2021 will continue to respond and address safety measures
as we are directed by the National Pandemic Risk Management Task Force. I am convinced we will have
to continue to pivot and be flexible as new announcements are made each day. I thank the members of
Tau Omega for their patience and understanding as we adapt to the constant updates and changes. It
is all done in the interest of keeping our Sorors safe and protected.

As we say good-bye to 2021, I would like to especially acknowledge our Officers, the Executive
Committee, and all our Committee/ Co-Chairwomen for your leadership and collaborative work efforts
to ensure the continued successful operations and program implementation of our chapter.

We have elected/appointed our new officers to begin the work of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in
2022. Congratulations to our newly elected and appointed officers and nominating committee!

My vison for 2022 is to continue to strengthen our sisterly bonds as we embrace a new administration
and program objectives all in the name of service.

I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday, December 11th, at 11 AM for our chapter meeting and
installation of officers. Our holiday pajama party will be held on Friday, December 10th at 7PM via
Zoom.

I am asking all 2021 End of Year Reports be submitted to me by December 15th – so I can review and/or
sign as needed. Please remember to make a copy before submitting.

Sorors as we move forward in sisterhood let us continue to support each other during these uncertain
times and make Tau Omega the best chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

DECEMBER FISCAL TIPS!

Hello Sorors,
Below is the breakdown of the 2022 dues approved at the October chapter meeting. Dues
are due preferably by or before December 30, 2021.
2022 dues & fees CANNOT be accepted unless/until ALL PRIOR DEBTS to the CHAPTER ARE
PAID, including obligatory payment of $200 to the Tau Omega Charitable Trust (NOT
Chapter). ONLY IF you have already PAID YOUR 2021 Charitable Trust Assessment, can you
then remit your 2022 Chapter Dues. For payment arrangements of your assessment, please
contact Soror Andrea Webster at [email protected].
Chapter 2022 Dues:
$310 for Standard Members
$330 for Reactivations
$185 for Life Members
$135 for DIRECT Undergraduate Transfers (MUST have graduated in 2021)
$135 for Chapter Officers (only the 11 specified in our bylaws)
$10 for Chapter Officers who are Life Members
