asset to the Theta Chi chapter for years to come. He was
very impressed with how well our chapter was doing and
constantly assured us that we were among the best in the
nation. The entire week we had people comment on how
well Arkansas State was doing, and that they knew our
nationally recognized chapter advisor, Brad Wimpy. Brad
received the Outstanding Chapter Advisor award at this
year's Grand Chapter in San Diego, California. We are
excited for Mr. Wimpy and his incredible
accomplishments in Sigma Chi. The highlight of the week
was when the Theta Chi chapter received its eighth
Peterson Award in a row. Not only did we receive our
eighth in a row, but it was Gold! It was a surreal moment
for all of the brothers who attended the ceremony to hear
Arkansas State’s name called as one of only seven
chapters in the nation to receive this distinction.

positions on campus, as well as with
Sigma Chi. He currently serves as the
ritual chairman for our chapter, and is
excited to see how the new ritual

grow his office. Brother Lee
currently serves as the Chief of Staff
for SGA, Nathan was previously the
Pro Consul for Theta Chi in 2014-
2015. Nathan was a firm believer in
getting back to Sigma Chi’s basics
during his tenure as Pro Consul.
Nathan has always led by example
in his life, something that he did to his utmost as Pro
Consul. Nathan has long wanted to get into law-enforcement in his
career, his hope is that one day he will work for a federal agency. Nathan has interned
with the U.S. Marshals Service in the Eastern District of Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas and plans on
attending graduate school in the future.

“I think that everyone has a point in their lives where they make a decision that is a fork in the road, that will ultimately
change your life. On move in day I was invited to go up to the Sigma Chi house with guys from my home town and the next
thing I know I was pledging Sigma Chi. Because of my experiences as in Sigma Chi, I got to go Balfour and Horizons, and
I have grown so much as a man. From simple social skills to leadership skills such public speaking, I have developed my
self in so many ways. With out Sigma Chi I don’t know where I would be. Because of Sigma Chi I got to surround myself
with a bunch of go-getters. Sigma Chi made me strive to be the best at what I do in life. Besides from blood-relative’s every-

Sigma Chi was there for me when my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. My brothers have been there to support
me through that on-going trial. Sigma Chi has developed me as a man, as a leader, and has brought me a family that I will
cherish forever. I hope that one day the white cross of Sigma Chi will gain new luster by my life.”

I wanted to dedicate my office to the Bottom: Gold Peterson
brothers before me. Alumni are an Award
essential part of Theta Chi. While we
may have grown to almost 80
members, I to remember a time when
there was only 40-50 members in the
chapter room. I’ve heard countless
stories of how it was when there
was only 20 members. The
numbers may have changed, but
the goal remains the same; to be
the best we can possibly be. For
me, Sigma Chi has changed me for
the better. I have completely
transformed my life in my years as
a brother and I attribute that to
Sigma Chi.

Thank you, alums for all that you do for our chapter.
We are a young chapter, however, we are growing
rapidly. We can only attribute the success that we’ve
enjoyed as a chapter to the numerous brothers that
built the bridge before us.
