Kevin Johnson

Recognized as one of the world’s top ten
Ventriloquists, Kevin is mostly known from his

About Julie Gilbert

Julie Gilbert is a writer. Her father, Henry Goldsmith, was a
publisher, and her mother, Janet, was an actress. She attended
Boston University and worked as a professional actress, writer
and teacher. Julie has written biographies, novels and plays,
including Umbrella Steps (adapted into film) and Ferber: The
Biography of Edna Ferber and Her Circle, which was
nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award. She
received a Pulitzer Prize nomination for Opposite Attraction: The
Lives of Erich Maria Remarque and Paulette Goddard.

Elizabeth Strout, who has already proven her literary
gifts with the Pulitzer prize winning “OLIVE
KITTERIDGE” as well as her previous novel “MY NAME
IS LUCY BARTON. This new novel, published by
Random House, has been called “radiant” by the
tough and prestigious literary review, Kirkus. Strout’s
iconoclastic style is to thread multiple short stories
through the same geographical needle, creating the
durable fabric of a novel. She structures a large and
thematic territory inhabited by many strong
characters.
We meet Lucy, long gone from Amgash, Illinois, her
damaged brother Pete and her petulant sister, Vicky.
Many other characters of the town Lucy deserted
come forth with their stories which reveal why she
had to leave and why their fate is to stay.
