Nonthaburi Durian Orchard Conservation Station HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the Honorary Chairman of Srinakarin Park Foundation, expressed her opinion for Srinakarin Park, Nonthaburi,to plant Nonthaburi durian varieties in the Park for fear of their possible extinction.
คณะกรรมการอำ นวยการบริหารและ ส นั บ ส นุ น ส ว น ส ม เ ด็ จ พ ร ะ ศ รี น ค ริ น ท ร์ นนทบุรี จึงได้น้อมนำ แนวพระราชดำ รัส โดย ได้มีมติให้เทศบาลนครปากเกร็ดจัดหาพื้นที่ ในสวนสมเด็จพระศรีนครินทร์ นนทบุรี เพื่อจัดทำ เป็นศูนย์เรียนรู้และอนุรักษ์สวน ทุเรียนนนท์
The Board of Executive Directors of Srinakarin Park, Nonthaburi, hence took the said royal intent as guideline and issue the resolution for Pakkret City Municipality to set up a Nonthaburi Durian Orchard Learning and Conservation Center together with the display of the exhibition of the Princess Grandmother Srinagarindra’s history in an area of Srinakarin Park, Nonthaburi.
เป็นที่รวบรวมพันธุ์ไม้พื้นเมืองนนท์โดย เฉพาะทุเรียนซึ่งเป็นผลไม้สำ คัญของจังหวัด นนทบุรีที่นับวันจะหาดูได้ยากและอาจจะ หายสาบสูญไปจากปัญหาน้ำ ท่วมและการ เปลี่ยนแปลงวิถีชีวิตของชาวจังหวัดนนทบุรี เพื่อเป็นศูนย์เรียนรู้อนุรักษ์สวนทุเรียนนนท์
