Order and Request part 1

Order and Request part 1

Order and Request

Unit 7

Order and Request

Hello kids
Let’s learn about ….

Are you ready?

Order

Order is an instruction.
We use order when we ask someone to

do something spontaneously.

Examples

Turn on the lamp! Don’t open your book!

(+) (Nyalakan lampunya!) (-) (Jangan buka bukumu!)
Sweep the floor! Don’t touch my car!
(Sapu lantainya!) (Jangan sentuh mobilku!)

Be quiet! Don’t be noisy!

(Diam!) (Jangan berisik!)

Request

Order is also an instruction.
We use request when we ask someone

to do something politely.

Examples

(+) (-)

Could you turn on the lamp? Could you not open your book?

(Bisakah kamu menyalakan lampunya?) (Bisakah kamu tidak membuka bukumu?)

Can you sweep the floor? Can you not touch my car?

(Bisakah kamu menyapu lantainya?) (Bisakah kamu tidak menyentuh mobilku?)

Would you be quiet? Would you not turn off the fan?

(Maukah kamu diam?) (Maukah kamu tidak mematikan kipasnya?)

Request

If you want to make a
request, add

could you …, would you …,
can you …, will you …

in front of the sentence

Good job, kids!
